Haha, after my earlier post saying I didn't have an issue, I have now been affected. If I try and make a call it never actually gets to the ringing stage. It's a bit poor that it's taking them a long time to fix it - however, they are very cheap.

Following investigations carried out as a result of disruption to our network, it has become clear that Lyca Mobile has been the victim of a cyber attack.
We first became aware of issues over the weekend, which were preventing customers and retailers from accessing top-ups through our channels. It also impacted some national and international calling. The issues affected all Lyca Mobile markets apart from the United States, Australia, Ukraine and Tunisia.
Our focus on our customers is paramount. We are working around the clock to ensure that the impact on them is minimised.
Our number one priority is ensuring the safety and security of our customers’ data, and we are urgently investigating whether any personal information may have been compromised as part of this attack. We are confident that all our records are fully encrypted, and we will keep customers updated on the outcome of our investigation as we work with our expert partners to establish the facts.
As part of our rapid incident response, we have engaged 3rd party technical expertise to complement our internal expertise. Additionally, we are in close contact with the relevant regulatory and law enforcement authorities in each of our impacted markets, ensuring we fulfil all our obligations.
The mobile telecommunication services affected by this attack have now been restored in all of our markets. There are some operational services that are yet to be fully resolved, but we are working hard to restore all functionality across all countries as quickly as possible.

Just got through to them as I have nothing, no call text or data.
They said my deal did not renew hence no service and blamed me for it not renewing. I pointed out my card had not changed, was valid for another 3.5yrs, i had money in the account,it was set up to auto renew as it had been since I started and I’d received a text to say it would do so so it was just a coincidence that despite all this the auto renewal didn’t happen on the same period that they’d had major issues and the lack of auto renew was my fault.
What a joke, tried to get a PAC code via text and message received saying they can’t send one. Great, I can’t even leave them!

Oh my...
Not able to make calls, not able to send text messages, no data, and my monthly payment hasn't been taken.
I've just managed to get through to customer service, they said they have no more information, and their latest update is that it will take at least 24 hours before it's resolved! They couldn't even access my account!

Just to confirm what everyone else has said - I am on an auto-renewal that should have gone through last night - obviously it didn't and now I am completely cut off and cannot even get onto the website properly to buy a bundle to get my mobile connected again, cant get through to anyone...no online chat, nothing.
This is absolutely disgraceful - surely Ofcom should be all over this already? You cannot just cut people off who pay regularly.0 -
📰 On September 29th, the news hit the stands like a ton of euro coins! Apparently, Lycamobile found itself in a bit of a pickle, with reports of a whopping €10 million fine being suggested due to allegations of VAT fraud and money laundering. That's some serious cheddar!
🕵️♂️ Now, here's where it gets interesting. The very next day, their service started behaving like a toddler throwing a tantrum. They blamed it on a "cyberattack," which sounded about as plausible as your pet goldfish typing Shakespeare on your keyboard.

I'm and brand newbie to the forum but hello everyone.
I've been having issues with Lycamobile since last weekend and it's becoming a bit annoying. Although I've been able to use the service for calls, SMS and internet I've had intermittent access to their app for those 3 or 4 days. The most frustrating thing is that I get a failure message whenever I try to get my PAC by texting 65075. Although my online dashboard is now available after some days of no access I'm not able to access the account management area to either change/cancel my payment card or to request my PAC. I note that people calling their CS are also unsuccessful in obtaining their PAC's. A bit of shambles to say the least. What is most annoying is that they're promoting sales of SIMs and SIM only deals, so it seems that that side of their operation is working fine (of course!) I certainly wouldn't recommend this operator to anyone else, quite the opposite indeed.0 -
