How are we half way through the month already? Really struggling with pain at the moment and not making the best food choices at the moment. This includes lots of chocolate and takeaways.

Sold another couple items on vinted. Credit Card OP fund is doing well at the moment. Currently at £85.30/£400, need another £30 by end of month to stay on track. I am going to be getting £97 back from SLC for Overpayment of my student loan but that takes up to 28 days so have to wait and see when that comes in.

I have asked for more overtime clients so hopefully get that soon so can get some more hours in before end of the month. Only managed 2 hours last month but will be about an extra £25 so can't complain too much.

Emergency dentist appointment happened today, so glad I have a NHS one. Was very lucky to get one. But still £28 later and have to go back in 2 weeks for a follow up. Which will be another £28 as my dentist charges separately for emergency appointment and then follow up treatment. But still cheaper then £60 for private Emergency appointment that they originally tried to sell to me. Very sneaky.

£5 received from vinted and paid into CC fund. Also sold another item on FB marketplace for £5 so transferred that as well and will use the cash to pay for coffee tomorrow.

    Roll on the weekend.

Almost the end of the month, feels like it's gone so quickly.

Some changes for me. My barclaycard has been paid off. My dad loaned me another £500, I took £250 from savings, cashed in the £150 I had saved up in OP pot and then skimmed remaining £50 from this month's pots.

I've now adjusted my budget going forward. I've restarted the standing order to my dad (plan had been to wait until Jan when CC was cleared)
Rounded up mortgage payments to nearest £100 which would save me about 5 years and £15k interest. Its a start.
Given myself an extra £50 in my personal spending budget a month
    Scheduled £100 to savings
Scheduled £250 per month needed for Sinking funds.

Still have £1000 locked away in saver for my emergency fund.

I've opened an account for round ups which will become my holiday fund for next year. This will be the account where I save any extra in.

Ideally I would also start saving towards loan overpayments. But I'll see how my new budget goes and then work out a plan for this.

I've been thinking about the future. I will be 40 in 3.5 years and I'd really like to have myself out of debt in that time. But whether thats realistic or not I don't know.

It may be a case of being debt neutral instead and saving it. I would need to save any extra £80 a month. So now have to decide whether to stop the mortgage OP as that would give me an extra £30 a month towards it.

    Ahhh decisions.

I like the idea of being DF at 40 (my aim is slightly older sadly at 50) it would be a massive accomplishment! But I can see the appeal of debt neutral....... having money actually in the bank is very comforting.

I think debt neutral is more a realistic target for me but I'd love to be debt free. Who knows what will happen in the next 3.5 years. I just know the time will fly by very quickly.
