Glad the new job has started well, asb x
Have given myself a big talking-to this morning, left the pity party, rolled up my sleeves and got on with Flying. Good progress all through the house apart from my study and ordering the birthday presents: both of these can wait until this evening. I was multitasking, i.e. phoned DSis-i-L with a cuppa in the other handFUPA clean washing. Refilled the refillable bathroom cleaner bottle. Used up bits from the fridge and freezer by throwing a pork casserole into the SC. If K and the girls want to join us, I can cook some pasta for them (we're still avoiding carbs) and will probably still have some left over
- otherwise I'll freeze the leftovers for another day
DH has been holed up in his mancave all morning, graciously accepting mugs of tea/coffee when offered.
Must make another phonecall, then do lunch and get out to AH- yucky rain here too. I've a small bag for the CS , and we've run out of a few random things including bananas, ground nutmeg, eggs and butter beans, so I also need to pop into MrAl on my way home.
Off I go again....8 -
Crafting And Chat done, good to do some painting, catch up with an old friend, and make new friends. Just discovered DS needs wellies for school tomorrow, old ones are all outgrown! So will have to head out again. Mr Flamingo just declutteted 18,000 emails for me, will count that as an extra 1 on the tallyMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Tenuous flying so far - haircut decluttered, DH picked DD up from the station, hospital visit ticked off. DH is currently looking at my tyres as the sensor keeps beeping and they all seem fine. Oh, I did run the wm first thing - real actual flying.
Dh out for a curry this evening, DD is staying for the night, so we are going to curl up and watch a film with something rustled up for dinner. Apparently my plan of toast for when I was going to be home alone doesn’t cut it!Off to search for the library book…8 -
Fayolle if you can’t, you are welcome to borrow my copy. Just let me know xx9

Sequel finished. Happy to pop my copy in the post to anyone who wants it. I've washed up the dinner plates.Spend less now, work less later.10

Thank you, both xx. I have got the sequel reserved at the library! Then I got distracted and borrowed another couple of books as well, so lots to read on the train on Thursday.
Dinner cooked, lots of veggies in Singapore noodles. Utility room !!!!!! kitchen tidied, now sitting with a cuppa debating whether it is a knitting evening or a reading evening. DD is basking on her comfy bed with a mug of hot chocolate, relishing home comforts.7 -
Gym swim
Came home to find Mr N vacuuming lounge/diner/hall so I brushed stairs and swept kitchen floor in solidarity.
Dusted much of lounge/diner. Polished shiny bits.
Trimmed dead leaves off houseplants.
Did a quick 'stick-them-in-a-vase' arrangement of Michaelmas daisies as the wind had made them flop over the front drive.
Filled bird feeders.
Sat with Mr N (who is better at phone calls than me) to encourage house insurance company to drop the price. Managed grudgingly to knock £46 off.
Filled in yet more pension forms and emailed them.
Booked Covid booster.
Drum practice.
Listed non-food items to take away for the weekend in case of bad weather - jigsaw, DVDs, Scrabble, books (not that I travel anywhere without my kindle anyway).
Checked restaurant menu Mum sent me as she is having visitors from Canada next month for a day.
Went to church group.

tidied kitchen before i came to bed, helped by tv signal going (seems to have been quire widespread, that) and loaded DW and WM.
Just having coffee and meds and shuddering at the weather.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning. It's raining again.
Managed to get a dog walk in before it started. All dailies are done and I've hoovered through. Now off out for the day with friends.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9
