I couldn't read the article as it wanted you to sign up or something - I got a glimpse if something about a sapphire ring?
As an aside I don't understand these ideas that folk can tell you what to wear to their wedding 🤔 😆 its bad enough having to go out and get something dressy, if I was told what colour I was to wear or what style of clothes, they'd be getting told to bolt 😆 🤣 happy to do my best for a fancy dress party, to go dressy or casual but im not trawling about trying to find a particular shade of purple so their 40million digital photos look 'good' in their eyes, im a guest at your wedding come to see you get married or celebrate that you got married this afternoon, not an extra in a Busby Berkley musical.
Yup, I'm old 😆 🤣 😂

Basic story was that a newly engaged couple (A) were told by the couple getting married (B) that they didn't want female A to wear her engagement ring as it was too close a match to the colour being worn by B's wedding party. Net result was lots of comments from people about "i hope the sky isn't too blue that day as that's against the rules" and "people with blue eyes will be required to wear coloured contact lenses". Essentially your basic bride/groomzilla situation.

My DS had a Pagan wedding on Halloween last year. The only dress code was no puffa jackets 🤣 I found the perfect dress for £4 from a charity shop although topped it with a leather look jacket from MnS that was considerably more. This was the wedding cake

Art class today was good fun as always but I'm absolutely knackered. This is the problem with getting a bug, it takes so long to shake it off sometimes. I could have used a nice long lie in but needed to get the class early enough so I could pick a good seat and needed to have a shower before I went. And being ill means everything takes longer than normal. One positive on that side is that I wasn't offering a lift to a neighbour who also goes to these (he hasn't been well and opted out) and that meant that I knew that if I needed to I could leave early - I didn't but also wasn't delayed getting home. My neighbour is a very nice person and a wonderful artist but he has lived alone for maybe 30 years and doesn't get out much so when he is with people he wants to chat. Fine when you're up to it but that wasn't going to be today. I'm assuming that I will sleep very well tonight!!
Have to waddle off to the kitchen and top and tail the beans ready for supper which the OH will cook eventually.

Why not thanks for the kind offer but we are unable to attend. No need to elaborate. Nice pressie, job done. I wouldn't dream of asking anyone more than very close family to shell out to go abroad. The dress code at weddings seems increasingly relaxed. Be comfortable and simply dressed. It will be fine.
