Thrifty in my 60's

It has been a long time since I posted on this thread. Well we are nearly into the fourth month of this year.

I am slowly decluttering my items, Listing items on vinted ,or donating them to charity . 50 % of all of my sales this year from vinted I will be donating to the Alzheimers Charity.

One reason being is that I would love to move to the seaside , in my retirement. As we have lived here in our present house for over 30 years it is amazing how much items you collect. We also have a lot of items from when my mom moved into the nursing. Items from when my FIL died and also items from when my MIL died.

I am hoping to post more often. I am having trouble focusing on the mobile phone as my eyesight must be deteriorating with age. I have a laptop which old and which I will be replacing.

I am thinking of getting a tablet that has a lot of memory and is easy to use , when downstairs in the evening.

Evening Everyone.

Today the weather is horrible and cold outside.

I listed an item on vinted.

Had a lovely shower and washed my hair

Continued with some paperwork to do with my mom

Put a wash load on .

Tomorrow lets hope some sunshine appears.

Afternoon Everyone

Had an email early this morning , which mean't I had deal with a 'frog'. I procrastinate too much but this was not my problem but something to do with my mom. All sorted now, All i am saying is computer systems are great until they do not work.

Decided to also re join the veg box that I used to have. They phoned me up and offered me 50% off my first box.

Sunny here today , but still cold .

Happy Easter Sunday Everyone,

Went shopping yesterday morning to get a few things to take to my mom,

I have finished the book Camino Winds by James Grisham. It is worth a read.

i am now reading a book called A Cat A Day-sold by Battersea Dogs/Cats home - I bought it from temu,

Every day has an entry about a cat, it can be about a real cat or a fiction cat character.

I went to visit my mom this morning in the nursing home. Had a good visit , I took her in some more toiletries, clothes and some chocolates and an Easter egg,

I am off to have tea shortly, then will settle down and watch a film.

I have put some washing out to dry too.

Afternoon Everyone

I have had a quiet day today. Had a lovely lie in.( the cat allowed us too).

Lovely sunshine , so the washing is outside drying.

Sorted a some things I can try and sell on vinted

It is Monday again - bin day again.

I am off soon to cook tea, sort out the rubbish and settle down to watch the tv.

Another wash load is on the go.

If the cat allowed it then I would be suspicious. Keep an eye out for a well chewed mouse or half a bird somewhere.

Meanwhile as the covid brain fog slowly lifts I realised I won't be able to post here in a few months as I'll no longer be in my 60s.

That said I'll likely forget and keep posting anyways. Shall need to start cruising the charity shops for a purple outfit and a red hat that doesn't go.

@Brie - Think of yourself as 60 plus 10 instead. Then you can keep posting. I'm 60 plus 18. Sounds better.
