Morning all, another dry day so getting the last of the washing done, apart from bedding which will get done tomorrow as it's forecast to be dry then as well.
@Longwalker - thanks for the duck cooking instructions, I thought I'd have to !!!!!! it all over as I know a lot of fat comes out - just as it does with the breasts cooking! I'm really looking forward to it.
Just go with the flow tomorrow - you aren't in control of the food so it's a case of good when you can and careful when you can't!
Todays food:
B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
L - BLT - HEB; P; S; 2
D - SC brisket and veg - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF sausages 2; LF spread 2
Have a good day everyone.

I know none of us will be staying 100% on plan over the next couple of weeks so the best we can do is have SW friendly meals whenever we can.
I think it's really important to make SW work for us, otherwise it just becomes a restricted diet and we'll give up. The thread helps too, both with hints and tips but also making sure we get back to healthy eating ASAP. Staying in touch really matters, it's a bit like the people in RL groups who go MIA and you just know it's because they've not been on plan and gained. ☹️
It's duck breast I have for NYE @joedenise so instructions for cooking will be most welcome. 😊
I checked out the NI school holidays @Longwalker and you're safe to go to see Wonka until Thursday. 🤣
Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, fried eggs and bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- Spanish omelette (P, F, S), pickles (S)
D- chicken wrapped in bacon (P), hassleback potatoes (F), mushrooms, tomatoes, green stuff (S)
Syns - half Crunchie 3, weekend wine 😁0 -
Change of plan for lunch! We had stuffed peppers - couldn't eat it all as I put too much chilli in the couscous!
When I do duck breast @maman I use a frying pan which can go in the oven and then just start it on the skin side until nice and brown, then turn over and put the pan in the oven to cook through. Doesn't take long maybe 5-10 minutes depending on how pink you like it!0 -
Hi folks, a wee half pound off this morning. Was out twice for lunch earlier in the week so was happy with that.
So sorry to read about your friend @bubbs you will have wonderful memories to treasure.
DS2’s works night out so I’m on taxi duty. Obviously no alcohol for me which suits fine as I’m hoping for another loss next week to give me a bit of leeway for Xmas and Boxing Day.0 -
Evening all 😁
I gained 1/2lb on my true weight so in grace week again 🤣 next week will be shoes but the week after won't 🤣🤣
Well done Jelly and thank you , DH didn't have a Christmas jumper, she wants her life celebrated , so they have said Christmas jumpers at the funeral 😁 so we went and got him one today, before he would never have worn one!
I have been so busy today, cleaning and sorting out, put a new privacy film up on our door, looks great with birds on! DH cleaned all the carpets, so tomorrow decs going up!
We was out this morning, i just weighed at group, then we went shopping, came home had lunch, i had soft pitta with egg and bacon and cherry toms, so i had 2 pittas today!
Pitta pizza, bns chips and salad for tea .
I have never cooked duck either 😏Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Congratulations on your loss @Jellybaby. 👏👏👏 You did well to rein back after your lunch earlier in the week. Good luck for the week ahead, as you said we all need a bit of leeway for the Christmas period.
Well done on your gain today @bubbs! 🤣 It's not often we get to say that on here!
And well done Mr Bubbs on buying himself a Christmas jumper. It's not something I would normally wear either but I'm with him on getting one to celebrate the life of your friend. 👍
We stopped off in Aldi on the way home from football. I've got enough in for a few days and now need to do some meal plans and shopping lists for the next couple of weeks. 🤔0 -
Morning all (just about!), been a busy one as needed to pick my friend up at 8.30am to get to a hospital over an hour away for a scan. No way to get there by public transport as the bus company has now cut out the buses on Sundays so if you don't drive you can't go anywhere other than the over-priced little corner shops!
I did manage to strip the bed and get the bedding into the machine before we left so have now got that out of the line for a bit of a blow but will still probably need to put it on the airer later to finish off but better than having to do that straight from the machine. Just need to remake the bed now!
Well done @Jellybaby on your loss, that's brilliant after meals out.
Well done @bubbs on the gain!!! You're getting where you want to be just before Christmas. You'll definitely have plenty of leeway to eat what you want.
Today's food:
B - fry up - P; S; F; 2 (yes we were up early enough to have a full breakfast!)
L - bacon sandwich - HEB; P; 2
D - beef curry, rice - P; S; F (using the SC beef from yesterday as it was a bit tasteless to be honest so needs perking up a bit!)
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; LF spread 2
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Hi all. Been busy so MIA.
Sorry about your friend Bubbs. Brings back memories of my mum.
Had a funeral myself this week. The father of one of my best friends. Was living with dementia but went really suddenly in the end. She had looked after him for three years but wasn't with him at the end so is feeling bad about that.
On a SW note, I lost 1.5lbs last week. Happy enough with that. Most of the women I talk to who have kept the weight off for a good while all had small, consistent losses. Did sit down with dd2 to watch a movie last night and had a grazing session. Too many sugar puffs plus some pistachios!
Went to see Wonka on Thursday night. Very Greatest Showman and Olivia Coleman and Tom Davis stole the show. Really enjoyed it but wouldn't watch it again. Was getting a Tango Blast for DD2 and realised it was sugar free so got one for myself too!
After my grazing session yesterday I need to get back into it today.
Lunch: HM lentil soup (free) with croutons (half hexb)
Dinner: Omelette with lots of veg in plus baby potatoes airfried. Probably some hexa cheese.0 -
Well done on your loss @NornIronRose.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 There are far worse things you could have grazed on than extra sugar puffs and nuts. Good on you! 👍🏼
I bought a box of cherry liqueurs to share at my dancing class last Tuesday but wasn't able to go because of my bad back. Unfortunately they are 3.5 syns each but I'll just have to eat them! 🤣
It's a good thing that they're using the hospital equipment 7 days a week @joedenise but not much use to someone who doesn't have their own transport. 🤔
The hassleback potatoes we had last night were delicious. I only made them because I wanted to use up some baby potatoes and keep the others for today (don't want to buy more until veg wars starts😁). I'm definitely going to make them more often.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, egg, bacon (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- sweet JP (F), cottage cheese, ham (P), pickles (S)
D- beef in 'red wine' (P,S), roast potatoes, parsnip (F), Speed veg (S)
Syns- cornflour 1, weekend wine😁0 -
Evening all
Thanks Rose, she was very special 😍 well done on your loss 👏👏👏
Thanks Denise and Maman, the thing is will keep me in check a bit as can't miss group as she has a thing going , attend for 6 weeks and someone will win a Ninja 😱 😁😁😁
I have been really busy again today but think i am there now 😁 Decs up, pressies wrapped , meeting 2 sisters tomorrow to get rid of there pressies , car loaded so i don't forget them at 6.30 in the morning!
Broccoli has been added to veg wars at Tesco! Whole red and white cabbage in sains .
We put a privacy sticky thing up on our door today to get rid of the net there i am in love with it 😂 i'll send you a pic.
Food today, not alot!
Banana
Roast pork dinner, 4 syns gravy, doughnuts and light suirty cream hexb and im counting 5 syns, don't think it was that many but i didn't weigh it and have plenty of syns.
Also look at this wreath my sister made, i think it's amazing and differentSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0
