Hope your DH continues to improve Iona and you don't end up going back to the hospital again.
Spent best part of yesterday chasing around the new Drs and the local chemist to get my amended meds. All because my main meds are unavailable and they don't know when they are going up get any stock in. Although in all fairness there are a lot of chemists that are having the same problems with various meds. I dread to think how others are coping.. especially as I know one of the drugs is insulin 😲
Unpacked a couple of boxes this morning after I did some ironing, well once I could find where some of the clothes were...lol
Put the Tesco's order away and taken collection of several parcels.. I've never had so many deliveries since we moved here..lol 😆
Not sure what the plans are for today. I know DH will probably want to rest especially as he restarted his chemo jab this weekend. So he's feeling a big icky at the moment..bless him. So I may go and annoy my Dsis for a couple of hours or so after lunch 😆
Better go and have my shower seeing as Brookie has finished on Stv..lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Cake is made, not perfect but made with love. It's the first time I've tried the drippy chocolate down the sides method. Bag of clothes sorted for charity and I've hoovered through. Going to have lunch now and then read a book ahead of family arriving later.Spend less now, work less later.7

*Sneaks back in*Hello all, it's been a while...4 years to be honest lol A little bit has changed here since I last posted, Son has graduated from uni in 2022 with a 1:1 in Psychology, took a year out while he lived at home (after spending 2 years in student digs) and worked to clear loans etc he took out, now as well as working part-time he's going back to uni (still in liverpool) to do a Masters in Criminology and Social Policy. He's looking to go into politics in the future so that should be interesting! He's moved out back into student digs this week, and the plan is when this course finishes he'll be moving into a house-share with at least one other friend as we've leant that although we love each other dearly, we cannot live under the same roof any more lolAs for me, I'm still stuck being self employed and not earning much. My fibromyalgia diagnosis in 2018 has made it easier to explain to people why some days I just can't do what they want me to do but unfortunately, although its a chronic illness I'm not "sick enough" to be classed as disabled by the benefits office so I've been limping along for the past year or so as my health took a nose dive. Short version of the story: I'm sat at my desk 2 weeks post abdominal radical hysterectomy, with a very itchy wound feeling the best I have in over a decade!! I didn't even know I needed it in April, by July I was told it would be meds then the op in a few months time, August I was told next month.Anyways, I'm feeling more energised than I have done in years, and having had a week in hospital I've come home looking at the house with a new set of eyes. So although I'm on limited activities for the next month still (potentially until the end of November), I want to start getting on top of the things I can do in the house again. My son moving out again is going to make things easier as there will be less dishes, laundry etc plus I won't have to try and work around his work shifts (he sometimes did the night shift which meant sleeping all day) and with only me and the dog at home it should be easier to keep on top of what does get in a mess. Also I won't be over doing it as son is still going to be coming home at weekly (?) to do vacuuming/other housework the needs doing, any garden work I can't do, and to help me with any grocery shopping plus work. He has a prescription he needs to collect every 4 weeks so that's the longest he won't be here for. Plus I've currently got district nurses calling daily to poke me with a needle (a DVT preventative thing which I can't do myself as I couldn't twist to stab myself anywhere without pain) and check my wound as I have an infection so they're also keeping an eye on me.Todays plan, apart from dailies, is to put a washload or two on. I have a fabric washbasket so I can just tie up the load and kick it down the stairs then through to the kitchen lol When son comes round later after work he can carry it upstairs for me to put on maidens when he's gone. I also have to meal plan so son and I can get a combined grocery delivery on Tuesday when Ex is coming to move the last of sons things (all the heavy/bulky and breakable stuff). I'm also going to carry on reading/annotating my copy of The Complete Tighwad Gazette when I've got to lay down and rest my tummy/wound before son comes round...which is first on my list of tasks when I've posted this. Half an hour rest!Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!7

Good afternoon all xx
I'm having a leisurely day after a run of busy days at work- it made the days fly by though so that's good.
Been to see Pops this morning. He fell out of bed on Thursday night and is still wincing today. Bruised ribs I guess.
Happy Birthday to Dot 🎂 🥳
I hope that Mr iona gets well soon xx
Strictly 2023 launches tonight. Going to read a book til then.

Afternoon ladies
Just popping in to say that I hope Mr Iona is doing okay. I have been in bed most of the day feeling really under the weather. Covid type feelings and absolutely worn out, more so than normal. A good night’s sleep needed then we’ll see what’s what.
Take care all x8 -
Nicki.. it is lovely to see you back
I hope everyone is well...
Iona.. I hope Mr I is on the mend and breathing better
I've only had time to read today.. far too busy..
Dance, Tesc0, Swimming, DD1's to return her children.. Dots birthday bits.. hung out laundry, loaded the DW, rescued a cat from a disgustingly huge dog and males who were not preventing said dog from trying to eat cat.. Cat stayed in my house until they left.
I am so tired I could sleep for a week..
I need to drop 2 chairs and a table at my mothers, take some stuff out of the middle room. Take an ottoman to Meem.. all while trying to stay awake.
The kitchen is almost reasonable and the airers need folding away in the back room. I have 2 items to package and post.. and rearrange parcel collections seeing as the guy did not turn up.

Morning all.
pigpen, my apologies for not saying "Happy Birthday to Dot" xx yesterday - at various times during the day I was thinking it, honest, but each time I was away from my computer and my brain couldn't handle remembering until I got back to it.
I hope you're feeling better today, asb xx
DH is thankfully a bit better this morning. He has been reliant on his CPAP machine for the past 2 days to help his breathing and maintain his oxygen levels, but he's taken it off this morning to give his head a rest from the rubber headband (he looks like something out of Dr Who when he is wearing it) and is able to breathe and speak rather more easily than yesterday. I shall still ring for a GP appointment for him tomorrow morning.
This morning's grand plan:
- drink tea [one cuppa already downed]
- send PM
- FUPA clean washing [started]
- breakfast [porridge soaking]
- shower and dress
- PUPA everywhere
- WMx1
- hoover LR
- walk Rosie before lunch, as rain is forecast later
- QHI
- make cakes for friends and family
Have a restful day if you can xxx5 -
Good morning all,
Welcome back Nicki!
Me and the WAC are becoming good buddies. I knew that a couple of good nights in a row during the week was too good to be true. It didn’t stop me from still being asleep at 8am though - eek. Up now, not yet dressed, enjoying a brew with Round.New dw is running a rinse cycle, to make sure it’s all fitted properly. Old kettle has now decided that its lid has had enough of opening - one thing finally replaced, another one gets jealous and joins the queue.
Plans for today include cutting the grass first thing (delegated to DH who is showing predictable signs of not hearing me), finish making my dress for next weekend (nearly there…), sorting out fridge and freezers after DD had a rummage to see what she could take back to uni, cut back some garden bits to fill the green bin. Obviously, top of the list is get to the allotment for more beans, but I’m not feeling that love right now.
Hope all are well, and that Mr Iona is making progress x Oh and belated happy birthday to Dot 🥳, of course.6
