Dentist with xrays decluttered. All good for another 6 months, thank goodness. Avoided traffic light chaos, more luck than judgement. Spent ££s on a new coffee machine which I promised myself for the new kitchen. DD has her eye on the old one. Most of the ££s were gift vouchers, so not feeling too guilty.
Am aimlessly doing odd bits as the kitchen floor is being laid so we can’t get through. To boil the kettle involves walking outside around the house and back in, so too much faff. Need to get the sc running soon though, as that is the kitchen appliance of choice for the day, especially after DH smoked out the NDNs with the bbq last night. I feel another apology to them coming on.8 -
Paid stuff done. Dailies except putting out recycling done. Fridge cleaned out. Sofa covers changed. Admin updated.
There was a short break in the rain so took Poppet for a walk and of course it started raining again. We came back soaked and Poppet rolled on the clean sofa covers.
just having lunch then I'll hoover through.Spend less now, work less later.9 -

you most certainly are! You can share here what you've done or any separate housey tasks and because we are all nosey you can share bits of real lifeWelcome!!
Dot collected from school in a VERY dysregulated state.. she has eaten her jumper and lost her chilli beans.
I have ordered a couple of christma bits and Dots birthday bits for Saturday.. nothing huge.. a couple of books, pop socket for her phone and some trainers she needs anyway.. and a bargainous xbox controler for her for christmas and one for Pixie too.. they've had a good 5 years out of theirs and they aren't working so well. Definitely had our moneys worth out of them too.
Looking at getting a mini fridge for DS2's room.. for his drinks and snacks.. and maybe one for Boog for the snacks and more importantly the diabetes supplies.. it will clear a shelf in my fridge.

I'm getting nowhere with these darn boxes..lol
Although saying that myself and DH have managed to unpack 6 packing boxes from the kitchen. Now the stuff is all over the worktops until I can find homes for them all.
I've managed to declutter absolute loads from said boxes into DH's car to go to the tip tomorrow. It's weird I decluttered loads before moving and now we are unpacking I'm still decluttering stuff..lol At this rate it'll be very minimalist at the end of it all...lol
Welcome flamingo, you'll love it here and like piggers says we look forward to hearing about your housey tasks and real life.
Need to fill up my car later and then take some packing paper to my sister's afterwards. Shall have a cuppa and a chinwag while I'm there 🙂🙂Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Thank you for the welcome
I've been trying to get back into it, it's so easy for me to let it slip! Last week I blitzed the kitchen, purged the cupboards, went up on the step ladder to clean off the top of the top cupboards, did all fronts and skirtings, then scrubbed floor. Daily swish and swipe with broom and spray mop meant the water didn't come off the scrub brush with much at all so pleased with that!
Today was bathroom. Purged the toiletries, moved all the little hotel bottles into the shower rack, hoping to persuade DH we need to use them up before buying any replacement normal ones. He fixed the shelf we had to take out of the under sink storage unit we got secondhand last year. It was too narrow for the pedestal, so got removed and put aside. Whilst I was cleaning he took the handsaw to it, so more storage space. Skirting, window sill, toilet deep clean (even took the seat off), floor scrubbed. Tomorrow I need to deep clean the bath and over-tub shower.
I tipped away my S-mol window cleaner which was forever leaving streaks, now using a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water. Stinky but shinyMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.
