Hi ladies
It is so humid here it’s awful. I’ve got a pounding headache so I’ll leave it there for now. Take care all x7 -
Just checking in, hope everyone is well.
Caught and checked Paul, (the last remaining ram lamb from this years batch) thought he might have got strike again. Turns out he's not and is much healthier than last week. He will go in our freezer in the new year, sometime. Named Paul by OH, after Paul Daniels, don't know why!
Found a whole stack of cake tins, biscuit cutters, and tupperware. They were living in a cupboard in the barn, the cupboard collapsed. Spent a lot of time cleaning them all. Might get rid of most of them. Not needed them, or missed them, in ten years.
Apologies if any of you have been blinded by the shine coming from the South West, I've cleaned the kitchen sink, and it's gleaming.

so…I went to work, had a break to go swimming, came back, worked, went to the bank, called out some cretinous chuggers on their behaviour towards a young man with learning difficulties, came back, emailed the charity for which they were chugging to complain, went for blood test, back to work so at some point i need to tot up the time i actually worked and pop it in the timesheet app.
Off to the smoke (again) tomorrow to see Ain’t too proud to beg. Taking DD. Got myself a senior railcard and have already made my money back, I think. Bestie and I are having a birthday day out soon…we’re thinking of going to Liverpool for that. She’s got a railcard too.
So tonight I have powered (sweated) through the ironing, WUALTD, stacked DW, tidied up (a bit). and got TWO sports questions correct on University challenge. (I did get some others but i’m normally dreadful at sports qs)

Good very early morning all
Needed a wee and silly to try and go back to sleep as the alarm goes off at half five!! Today I am going into work a bit later, so will use the time at home this morning so S&S the bathroom and catch up on some personal admin. Also need to order a new dehumidifier.Friend from work has given me stacks of pallet wood so I won’t have to buy any wood at all this winter which is great. Electric bill arrived last night so I’ll pay that this morning.YS salmon with broccoli for tea tonight. Have fab days all xx8 -
I 've also been awake since before 5.00, asb. Currently sitting up in bed with a cuppa. I love my upstairs tea tray! The curtains and window are wide open and I am listening to the gentle but steady rain, which is enough to cause a Chinese water torture drip drip drip off the dormer (hope no spies involved
). It will wash the Sahara sand off my car FOC
Rosie is fast asleep in her corner of the bedroom - she hates getting wet and won't be wanting a walk this morning! But I shall still need to water the pots later.
Other plans for the day include finishing writing a paper for the church council, my first ever acupuncture to hopefully reduce the pain in my shoulder, doing a financial shuffle, sorting more paperwork, hunting for a missing photo, phoning 2 friends, sending a birthday card to another, and starting to write lists of what I need to pack on Saturday. K is coming to help me clean all through on Thursday, so I think we can cope with the dust until then. I shall enjoy the cooler weather.
Thinking of you, round x
Hope everyone has a good day xxx7 -
Morning all.
Raining here too. About to start paid stuff and will fly later. There's no excuse really. I did find time yesterday to properly clean the worktops in the kitchen and all the stuff on them.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all,
No rain here, but then you might have guessed that I’d say that.
I’ve done the car shuffle so that the builders can park on the drive. As it is bin day, I am less than happy that my and DD’s cars are on the narrow road at the mercy of the school traffic and dustcart. I am now officially sick of having the house inhabited by builders. They were supposed to finish 2 weeks ago, then last week, now next Monday. It will be worth it, I have to remind myself.
Dentist appointment this morning, then I guess some admin or maybe some garden /gh pottering. Not a lot of point in indoor flying especially downstairs when dust keeps being created, and the doors are all wide open. Mr M delivery due this evening.
Sending coping hugs to Round for today x7 -
Morning xx
Thank you Fayolle xx Much appreciated. ❤
It's raining here too.
I'm up, dressed, made my bed packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, and had a brew. I'll feed the birds before I go, and a couple of rinsed cans can go into the recycling box.
I hope it's cooler outside- it's still twot in here.
Oh and the back door handle feels a bit dodgy, so I've taken the chain off the front door just in case I need to get in that way.
Hugs
Rxx
