Thanks for good wishes. DH is home now - they decided he wasn't ill enough to warrant a bed I had to insist that they get a porter to wheel him out to the car, which took ages to arrange. He looks worse now than when he went in, so might end up going back at some point, but when we got home he did at least manage to walk from the car to the front door, and is now sat in the kitchen, groaning, waiting for me to re-make his bed.
Not a fun day. I did WMx5 and have line dried 4 loads. The rest can go out tomorrow.7 -
A former Flylady (Quillion) came to visit me at work this morning which was lovely.
The end of the day, however, has seen me ranting at our Directors. One of them asked what i was going to do about the issue. I suggested she ask later, when I was calmer.
I have now formulated a plan. And I WILL win.
Hope Mr Iona is doing better and can stay home.

Hugs Ionafan and DH.
Back from lovely hols so playing catchup with flying, gardening, unpacking, washing, food shopping etc. But pleased to report Mr N did very well on the holiday even though we went by car rather than motorbike; we did a lot of walking which we both enjoyed. After dropping to 55kg during his post-op virus (envy: I've not been that since I was about 10!!) he is finally putting on weight again.
More hugs to anyone in need as I've glanced through the thread but can't remember much specifically.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all. Hope your DH is improving this morning Iona.
I don't intend to work another full time week again. It's exhausting. So flying has taken a backseat although I did get the grass cut yesterday.
I have taken parrots for a niggling headache but need to get my self moving. I've a birthday cake to make for DD.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Thanks, Flyfriends xxx
I got a decent night's sleep, Rosie woke me at 6.35, and I came down to find DH awake, still using his CPAP machine to help his breathing (it's still very shallow) but definitely better than he was last night and able to talk in short sentences, rather than the single words which were all he could manage yesterday. He got to the loo and back unaided, has taken his meds, drunk a cuppa and eaten a small child's portion of porridge. (Dunno which small child has lost out on breakfast, but...) What will happen to him during the course of the day is still anyone's guess - he goes up and down like a yoyo - but at present he is telling me to go to the church meeting I should be attending this morning. I have left the contents of his hospital bag laid out on the dining table in case he is forced to go back again.
One duvet cover is still hanging out on the line and there was a lot of mist around when I got up. I might also risk putting out a load of towels before (if) I go out - there is rain forecast for 2pm, but I should be home by then, and I might pop back to check the patient late morning anyway.
In the meantime I have been transcribing Wills and re-reading my 3xGGF's notes on his family, trying to sort out my Scottish ancestors. Some progress has been madeI need to draw up a proper family tree (for that branch) on paper - on the computer tree I can only see one twig at a time, Does picking up leaves count as Flying?
Hope everyone has a good weekend xxx

I hope your DH continues to improve, albeit slowly, Iona xAnother week has passed, not sure where it’s gone or what has happened. Apart from the lack of flying, of course. We took DD back to the uni city last night, which was good for her but I will miss her here. Traffic was so busy in the city, I’m not used to that level of people or cars, bikes, motorbikes, e-scooters (never seen one of those in our village! I guess the batteries wouldn’t last all the hills and the “drivers” wouldn’t survive the potholed roads!).DH has unveiled his Plan For The Day. He omitted WUDUPA (rushed out to uni city straight after feeding time, so left the washing up - bad flylady), so I have put him right on that. I need to figure out a wm schedule - think it starts with stripping DD’s bed and getting that in the wm. But the priority for the weekend is to get this blasted dress finished for next week’s wedding. Just hoping it fits ok when I get the side seams joined today…
Hugs to all, I hope the weekend is kind to you x7 -
