Congratulations on the new Great Niece! Glad to hear all is well.
To me, February is not that much better than January. The only two positives are that it's shorter and one month closer to summer.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Happy February.
just checking that we are all sitting up straight, pelvic flooring and celebrating edging closer to spring. A few bulbs are starting to pop their heads out in the pots by my front door. Hope they haven't got their timing wrong and can't wait to see spring flowers7 -

@Staffordia I had a basic forerunner originally - the 35 IIRC, and now have a Vivoactive 4S which I love! Records all sorts of activities, accurately tracks walking including on its auto track setting, and is so huge it looks daft on my (small) wrist either which is an issue I often have with smart watch type things - for instance the Apple Watch feels awkward on me because it’s square, but because the Vivoactive is round it’s heaps more comfortable.Hello lovely visitors - what a lot of you too! Well done BC for keeping everyone on their toes with posture and Pelvic floors! Vix it would be nice to think we will see our new Great Niece at some stage but I’ve no idea if or when they will come back to the U.K. Our BIL & SIL are out there at the moment but will be flying back to Brazil shortly - where BIL is working currently. Right old globetrotting family, MrEH’s lot!How are we all settling in to February then? We have some unexpected sunshine and breeziness here today - if it’s behaving the same up in Lincolnshire I will not be impressed but I do now have a plan to head up next Thursday evening and stay at C’s overnight which will be good fun - we can exchange Christmas presents too, finally!MSE Stuff:
- nothing on PB’s for us this month - not surprising allowing for how few we have currently though.
- walked via the C0-0p this morning, used a £1 off your shop coupon, nabbed member price on MrEH’s milk, and then used some of the remaining money on the card to pay the 50p owed.- faulty multi cooker parcelled up ready for the courier to collect it later and whizz it back to the watery shop up north.- electric meter read and the reading noted in my app - we have our energy billing through for January as well from 🐙 - under £200 combined which I’m pleased with.
- meal plan done for the week, and the shopping list too.- shopping done - starting in B&M where I spotted that they had 1l bottled of skimmed milk for 20p each - so nabbed a couple and they are now in the freezer. Also got the storage bits I was looking for as a thorough search didn’t reveal anything we already owned which would do the job. Oh - and a perfect set of hooks for the shed - something we were looking for! Once some are fixed in place we’ll have more storage in there, too.- Lil’s shopping came to £23.49 including a bag each of wholemeal and white bread flour, a chorizo and a chunk of extra mature cheddar. Still some oddments to get but won’t amount to much hopefully.
- load of washing run through this morning has now been pegged out thanks to that in forecast sunniness - it’s less sunny now but still plenty blowy and I can see through the window that it’s drying well.- opted into the Saving Session this evening (5-6 with 🐙) so must bumble about getting relevant things turned off before that, although MrEH will still be working for the first half hour.Plan for this afternoon is a bit of of a cooking session - I’m going to make a curry for tonight (turkey) and a batch of daal - possibly sweet potato and red lentil, possible my old favourite using yellow split peas in which case I will try it in the pressure cooker. Oh and a batch of ragu - which will be bulked with finely chopped mushrooms and red lentils as that gives a really tasty result. And if I want it all cooked before 5, I should probably go and crack on with chopping onions and similar!
Oh - pretty sure some of you will also have had this last night, but what a sunset we had down here! I clocked it as I left the office and stopped to take a pic just before getting to the car as it was just glorious - and still pretty much light at 5pm as well - hurrah!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
