Oooh - how fab.  Am I being dim, or are the straps the same as the seat fabric designs on the undergorund?  And the bag colours are the line colours?  The Elizabeth line is purple?  Central line is red?  Can't remember the rest - but would love days out in London - Cherryfudge's rellies are right about there being so much to see and do.

Well done on reducing the mortgage by so much. What an achievement to be mortgage neutral.

A day of wandering in London sounds brilliant.

Thanks all - we're pretty chuffed all round right now!

Ed - that is a decent rate, but at the moment I think we're shying towards trying to keep things to a limited number of institutions (we've already got things spread across a fair number) to avoid it getting unmanageable. Thanks for the mention of it though - it's always useful to know what's about.

WOW BC that viewing platform looks SO GOOD! I love places with a decent view so actually, yes, I might try to fit that in if I can, and if not this time, I'll bear it in mind for the future. Great tip!

Hopefully all the various bits of financial wrangling I needed to do are now done.
TeeSBee - the requirements were: (From MSE main site)
How to get the £150 bonus:
    - Either have an existing *** personal current account (not an under 19s account) or open a new Spend & Save or Spend & Save Plus account online, in-app or in branch. DONE
    - Before 9 Dec, switch in an account from a different bank DONE, deposit £1,000+ DONE, spend on the debit card 5+ times and log in to the mobile app DONE.
So just the debit card spending to do now. The card is added to my phone wallet as default so I should remember to use it when I'm doing a contactless spend.
C@h00t - both accounts are now funded and I think I have worked out uses for them as well - as both pay decent interest we may as well make use of them for money that would be in interest bearing accounts anyway, mightn't we!
I'm glad to have got that lot dealt with - I'd been waiting for items in the post which I just couldn't move forwards without - and of course they all took forever to arrive! A big bundle of post arrived yesterday though with all the bits I needed so I used an hour or so last night to get everything sorted.

I had just over £30 come payable on TCB over the weekend so that has been transferred out to the bank and in fact has already made its way to the mortgage.

The weekend was an awful lot about garden stuff - and it is quite strange looking out there now and seeing it so clear! Tomato plants all cleared of fruit and the plants bagged up ready for the tip, the fruit are now ripening on the living room windowsill, and I'll need to make time for some more cooking of them I think! We've cleared back the courgettes as well.
Runner beans cut down and the frames dismantled - last few fresh beans got eaten on sunday so now we'll be on to the freezer stocks - which are substantial!  the bottoms of the bean plants will be left in the ground to break down.
The compost bin has been dug out from the bottom and we have two bags of lovely crumbly compost ready for use - that will be used for mulching the main veg bed I think, along with a bag of commercial stuff.  The compost bin is rammed full again mind you thanks to the beans, courgettes etc!
We've got a rough plan to re-arrange things a bit for next year to improve the amount of growing space we have in the sunniest areas.

Food is under control and we're looking for another month of keeping spending low (ahead of December when I suspect spending will NOT be low!). I made a double batch of fish pie on Sunday - topped off with a leek & potato mash (using our last few home grown tatties) and finishing the dregs of a bag of prawns alongside white fish and salmon. Very tasty indeed - in fact so nice we ate the second half last night rather than leaving it until wednesday!

You are correct. The straps match seat fabrics & the colours are the line colours. 🤩

Aren't those bags great Beanie - quite pricey though sadly so I'm not seeing one in my future!

We're got a bench in our hallway which is upholstered in Elizabeth Line Moquette - looks amazing and has left us really fancying more bits of furniture from the LT Museum - but at the cost they are that will probably remain a want, too!

One of my favourite things about the colder weather and darker days is the excuse to eat all those delicious and hearty soups! A whole day in London to just wander as you wish sounds like a treat. There is so much to see. Well done for hitting your mortgage target so quickly!

I love a good soup but it's not something I make that often - sometimes inspiration strikes though and I always find myself wondering why I don't make them more often!

Moquette!  I knew there was a specialised word for it!  👍😁 But couldn't for the life of me remember what it was - I'd be no good on the pub quiz team, would I 🤣

I would assume that a moquette was along the lines of mocking someone just a little bit! :D
