Honey and lemon had here now - and Act1fed too - which seems to be stopping my incessantly running nose from misbehaving! I reckon I’m going to hit it (the covid, not my nose!) with all the big guns before bed - more Act1fed plus paracetamol, and more honey and lemon too… a better night’s sleep than last would do me the world of good I suspect. That said, the spare bed is remarkably comfortable - it’s had the addition of a mattress topper since I last slept in it - it might even be more comfortable than our double!MrEH is delayed getting home because the tube is on the blink so not sure what time he’ll get here. The pasta bake has a liberal scattering of padano grated across the top though - and just needs to go into the microwave on combi for 10 minutes to heat through once he gets here.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Our spare beds are pretty comfy too, I very often volunteer to sleep in one if one of us is ill/snoring (and have in fact been doing so for the last couple of weeks 😂)
I also hate lemsip- would MUCH rather take the tablets!
Hope you get over the worst of it soon x2 -
Bad luck on getting Covid although it is one in the eye for Madam Boss! I hope you feel better soon.Another hater of Lemsip - I can barely get the stuff down but Mr MV is a fan and buys it. I get the Vick vapour rub and the Actifed. Most annoyingly he then uses up all the Actifed and so I have to stagger out to persuade the pharmacist to sell me some more. Which reminds me that I must check supplies!2

Bad luck on getting the dreaded covid. Took me 3 weeks to get over the recent bout and I must have been ill as I actually had a lem-sip on maybe 5 days (also hate them).Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
Oh lemsips are vile. My Mum swore by them. Mind you, a friend's mother once gave me a Beecham's powder (unflavoured) & I couldn't even gag it down! I take cold & flu capsules from the cheapo shop which rhymes with 'ravers' along with a mug of hot honey & lemon. I still find fresh air, even 10 mins sitting out on a garden bench in my coat, is one of the best things for relieving lergyfied sinuses.

I remember Beechum's liquid & tablets, but not the powder! Wonder if we had different products (same brand) across the pond?4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! In the past I have tried both (not together) lemsip and beechams powder, both were vile but the lemsip was worse as it also made me feel nauseous.
I now use a combination of echinacea drops, lemon, honey, ginger, coffee (caffine enhances analgesic effect), paracetamol, ibuprofen, decogestant spray or tablets plus pleant of fluids and rest.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
