My old boss was perfectly happy to eat eggs in things, and fried eggs, but was almost phobic about cold cooked egg - I used to have to warn him if I had egg mayo in my roll at lunchtime so he could make himself scarce while I ate!
I've renewed the subscription for our garden magazine this morning - tracked down the best offer I could find for it online, and then realised I could save another £2.50 by signing up for the subscription people's rewards scheme, too. That takes it down to pennies over £3 an issue, but we'll get 46 packets of seeds across the year too I think, so it's pretty good value. That will come from the garden pot.
Also just bitten the bullet and cashed out a small amount on TCB with a small bonus to turning my earnings into a reward rather than doing my usual bank transfer. Another £7.92 on a T'd gift card to go towards christmas food!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Makingabobor2 said:Love a good omelette. Just wish DH did, he has an aversion to eggs. He will only eat fried ones, and then only the yolk! Says eggs make him feel sick, but strangely, he will eat quiche....there is no rhyme or reason to it.
I have this exact same thing, I used to have no problem with eggs but now anything that's just egg makes me feel sick whereas I love a quiche

@Makingabobor2 I'm with your OH, the thought of egg makes me feel queasy but with a few exceptions perfect scrambled eggs, in cakes or meringue, quiche but only if it made by my Mum, sister or OH and mayonnaise.
I do think eggs are a good food source, relatively cheap, quick to cook and versatile. So this year I have decided to widen my repertoire occasionally I have had an omelette, I started by having a tiny bit on OH's I have now got to the point where I have my own omelette.

I once went on a boiled egg diet, how that became a thing I have no idea. Not a fan since then.

loving your 'nice things' advent EH!
We have a little advent book, and I've resorted to a reduced chocolate one too
But I do like the idea of finding and using up little nice things - small samples and testers of toiletries would be ideal in my case! Might also try to pair up some earrings - I tend to wear the same pair over and over until I lose one, then the remaining one goes in a pile with all the other single earrings - but I have more than one pile of single ones, so there may actually be several complete pairs...

EH the magazine sounds good valueDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
