A splash of perfume is always uplifting and it's nice to use up the last of a bottle just in case Santa brings a new bottle.

  • I'm not expecting a new bottle (mainly because I've not asked for one!) but I do have a couple more which also need using, so it's still god to get it used!

Mum's pretty much sorted the house aside from the loft now - and decluttering a loft really isn't a job to do single handed, is it! She makes all the calls on what stays and what goes, and we do the manual handling bit!

I've never been more grateful for my gas hob

mind you, I'd be cooking in the van if we had an electric hob in the house

I was going to suggest doing couscous tomorrow as that doesn't need much in the way of cooking but forgotten you were having that tonight.  Could you cook something tonight to reheat in the microwave tomorrow as that wouldn't use very much power?
