A splash of perfume is always uplifting and it's nice to use up the last of a bottle just in case Santa brings a new bottle.4

I'm not expecting a new bottle (mainly because I've not asked for one!) but I do have a couple more which also need using, so it's still god to get it used!
Mum's pretty much sorted the house aside from the loft now - and decluttering a loft really isn't a job to do single handed, is it! She makes all the calls on what stays and what goes, and we do the manual handling bit!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

At least your mum is open to getting rid of stuff. We still can't get my dad to part with stuff. DH's dad is just as bad, but his mum does try and get rid of stuff. Trouble is, FIL will go through the bins to see if she's chucked stuff out, and they don't like giving stuff away as they think people should pay for things!! They won't even give to a food bank or put stuff on free FB pages. To say they make me cross is an understatement.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Oh heck MAB that sounds like how MrEH's Dad was in terms of reluctance to throw anything away - we had nightmares trying to pack stuff when they moved!
I have just looked at tomorrow's Agile prices. If anyone wants me I will be sitting over there in the corner, rocking gently, and trying to think how to change the meal plan tomorrow to not require any cooking whatsoever!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I've never been more grateful for my gas hob
mind you, I'd be cooking in the van if we had an electric hob in the house3 -
In fairness, I wouldn't be willing to move back to the flat just to get a gas cooker again, so it will be what it will be! I might make up double the usual amount of couscous this evening though...just saying...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I was going to suggest doing couscous tomorrow as that doesn't need much in the way of cooking but forgotten you were having that tonight. Could you cook something tonight to reheat in the microwave tomorrow as that wouldn't use very much power?4

If you have time to acquire bits tomorrow, maybe one of your nice things could be to have a Christmassy pickie tea- salad and any chutneys that want using, baguette and cheeses with cranberry etc, seasonal flavoured crisps, mince pies for afters sort of thing. And if you have any lurking Christmas design napkins or paper plates you could use themhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase
