Morning all - lovely to have visitors as ever! PiP I had remembered that about the C0-0p having issues before, and wondered if it might be the same sort of thing. We'll find out next time we come to use various different offers/vouchers at once I guess! Good suggestion on the bananas with avocadoes as well - one has now been relocated courtesy of MrEH!
BC - yep, right there with you about making sure we get charged correctly. They shouldn't issue the offers if they don't expect or want folk to use them!
SG58 I am still running through tissues like they're going out of fashion and definitely still coughing a bit, but pretty much back to normal now, I hope! L - good luck with Daisy the Digger!
Well we achieved plenty of garden stuff on Saturday - almost a full day out there which was grand, the weather was just glorious for it too. we now have a bean frame built, toms have gone to their pots and/or growbags, I potted on our one germinated chilli plant too although it doesn't appear to be doing much! MrEH put the sunflowers along the back of the new bed - 5 out of 6 are looking wonderfully vigorous, and one is looking a bit poorly but we're hoping it will pick up. Also sowed some more radishes and spinach, and MrEH got the runner beans sown too. I haven't yet tracked down borlotti seeds, but did spot a pack of yellow podded bush bean seeds in Lil's - checked the price - 49p! Needless to say those were purchased and have also now been sown! They look to be a yellow variant of a french bean type, so should be interesting anyway! Also bought yet MORE compost! last night there was time when we got in for MrEH to get out there and deal with some additional tatties in a potato sack - there was space to put it, and we had spare seed potatoes, so that seemed sensible!
Sunday saw my first airshow of the season at Duxford - and again it was a lovely day for it! I needed to put diesel in my car, so nipped in to the shop at the T's petrol station for a meal deal to avoid the need to buy food there (megabucks) As the ticket was free as well (members get free admission to a few events each year) it was a pretty good value day, really! Some nice stuff, flying, and I got some photos I was happy with, so a win all round.
Particularly pleased to see the "Suffolk Spitfire" as she is known, above.
Monday WAS rather more spendy as we headed into London to meet up with a pal and visit some pubs. there was beer, and chat, and a delicious pizza (al part of the plan!) and we all very much agreed we need to do it again! It very sensibly wasn't a massively late one, as we were all back working yesterday, but it was definitely a good way to spend a wet bank holiday Monday! anyway it will all be covered from personal spends, so household budget-neutral.
I need to sort out the CC shuffle for the food and garden spending over the weekend. My new wellies also arrived, fit just fine, and have been put up in the spare room ready to take away with us. I've shuffled the money for those from my clothing account already. grocery spending was about right although bumped a little by visits to both the international supermarket and F@rmf00ds - although FF proved bargainous as always - not least as I bought another pack of the chopped tommies (6 tins of N@p0lina brand for £1.99!) as well. those have made their way to the main shelves now, so perhaps are going to remain routinely stocked - we'll see.
This week is a 3 day week for me of course thanks to that Bank Holiday, MrEH was in London yesterday, WFH today, and will be back in London tomorrow so we may do the pub tomorrow evening, we will play that one by ear then. No plans for Friday at the moment, but I have an airshow on Sunday (at Shuttleworth - one of my favourite locations) so that will be good. We also need to really get our head around holiday stuff now - just a fortnight to go!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Glad you had a good day at air show. We've not been to one since DS left the Blue part of the Reds. Lol. He's at Northolt now, mainly behind a desk, so not so exciting, apart from when the Queen passed & there was a lot of comings & goings.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Lovely picture of the Spitfire EH!👍. Also good idea on buying the Tesco meal deal to take with you to the air show. The food prices at all outdoor events are always astronomical- often tasty but astronomical!😳Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Can I pick your brains about airshows. We're going to Duxford for the D Day event. Is there a bag search on the way in, I want to allow time for the inevitable queuing.Mortgage Free November 2018
