I opened my account on Monday, have transferred in funds etc. They sent me two identical emails late last night a couple of hours apart thanking me for opening the account, link to terms etc for some reason.1

I got an error applying, so tried again. As a result I now have two, one with annual and one monthly interest. Just need to get payee details set up with Lloyds and TSB and I can empty Chip and Tangent.0

Will Santander do a hard credit check for opening this savings account? I'm asking because I've been switching bank accounts a lot recently which has knocked the credit score down.0

Just opened the new easy access saver via my online account. Up and running within minutes.
However wanted it to be joint account but was not given the option when applying.
Any body else in this situation.
Tried ringing them waited 15 minutes and when got to the important bit the call cleared down.0 -
In the app there is an Apply button and an Apply (joint account) button.Just apply again.0

Hi,the online application gives you this option.0

Just a quick question about the interest, it says that the rate is 5.08% if interest is paid monthly (vs 5.2% if paid annually). Is this on the assumption that the interest is paid away?
So, if I choose to have interest paid monthly, but leave it in the account to compound - it will be 5.2%?0
