Hi,
I applied last night for the account with 5.2%. This morning they are asking for me to provide ID to open the account. Does that mean I’ll still get the 5.2% or the lower new rate?
thanks0 -

Santander can pull the account as and when they like, it's up to folks to get on with it, these things very rarely last long.Stargunner said:
That wording enables Santander to pull it anytime between now and the 17th September, without needing to publish a cut off dateSaveTheEuro said:Everyone agrees it is being pulled at midnight tonight except Santander who still say on their website “This issue is available until 17 September 2023 unless sold out sooner.” They could have updated that hours ago but didn’t bother to do so.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,

Personally, for some reason I only become aware of the account last night when a MSE staffer posted a message about Martin's video regarding the account ending that night....sheslookinhot said:scoot65 said:I applied for the account at 10.50pm last night.

As Santander were withdrawing this account at 11.59 last night, I applied around 10 pm. I had acknowledgement of my application, but no confirmation until this morning. I see the rate I have been given is now 2.5%. I would advise anyone who applied last night to check the interest rate they have been offered. Needless to say, I won't be investing.0

Mine's showing as 5.08% but I think that's because I elected to have it paid monthly rather than annually. Applied at 9pm last night, received email which included key facts document stating 2.5%. I was just about to pay in money from my Tandem account, I best send it back to them at 5%.0

You can no longer apply for this.Torres9 said:I used to work for Santander until they made me redundant. Sounds like they are really coping without me. Lol.
Think I'll wait till the left hand knows what the right hand is doing before i apply.1
