Just received an email confirming my mediation appointment. 4 weeks from today.

I'm going to keep it short. Yes and no answers. And obviously more no's than yes'

Why has that arrived? Wasn't your claim dated prior to May? Refuse mediation (unless this is a rare case where you have no defence and we've advised you to engage with it?).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Therefore you can cancel it.

Or do it to waste the C's time...

Could this be because they only submitted their intent/questionnaire? So regardless how old the claim is.. is it when they submit their intent is when the mediation rule would come into play? I would assume that is the case?

No it's because the Mediation Service is now automatically sending appointments to ALL parties where a claim is at this stage because the MoJ thinks it's a good idea.  Now that compulsory mediation is just being imposed on parties, nobody at the Mediation Service is now going back to check "was this claim filed prior to May 22nd?"

This is a conveyor belt and in your case you CAN stop it.

Or take the scum PPC for a ride on it and waste an hour of their time if you can string it out asking lots of 'clueless defendant' questions and being deliberately vague. Ending the call when you get bored with the drivel from the Mediator trying to bully you into making an offer.

    Your choice!

They've just called and said ParkingEye has reduced their bill to £250 and if I am willing to accept.

I said I am declining and I am happy to go to court.

    Hi all.

I just received a letter from the court confirming that the claimant has until the end of March to pay the court fee; otherwise, the claim will be struck out. Additionally, the court date is set for the end of April.
