Was quick from them - MCOL shows their DQ was filed on 19/08.
I have filled out most of the DQ, however I am being shipped out with work abroad till 2025 from some point in September.
On the question "Are there any dates within the next 3 months when you will not be
able to attend your mediation appointment?" I have explained this, saying I could do certain times for the hearing.
and for the question "At which County Court hearing centre would you prefer the smallclaims hearing to take place and why?" I have noted my closest court but explained the same thing, saying online hearing would be possible given I am abroad, but only during certain times of the day.
Are there other problems given I will be out of the country for that long? Should i give any extra info?
Thanks in advance0 -
It's only a matter of fitting in 5 minutes on the phone (refusing to offer money).
Did the CNBC actually send you the blank DQ? Don't download one yet, if not. Wait and wait until days before you go away, so you are by then, more sure of your unavailability.

Yep CNBC one came through address a couple dayss ago dated 19/08/24. So I've downloaded the N180 and filled in the info, explaining i can easily take a UK call in the morning time even though I'll be abroad from mid September.
So i never said i was unavailable, just that im abroad and can only do certain times of the UK working day

Mediation done, claimant reasoning was something along the lines of "car must be pre-authorised to enter car park" **even though no signs outside and i stayed for 4mins. They let me know court will be 6-9 months time2

I received this yesterday in a "serving the witness" email from the solicitor.
So they wont be attending court but it still progresses?
In the witness statement they mention a court date in april but i have no idea where they have found this. I haven't been emailed by the court about a date and nothing new on MCOL.

I am yet to receive any information of a hearing date from the court but its in the witness statement. Should i progress with my own witness statement now? Or wait for confirmation from the court. I have just emailed them to check my correspondence address is correct and asked about a court date0

Follow up your email with a phone call to the court. Insist on an immediate emailed copy of what they reckon they posted (the Hearing Order), and ask where they sent it and what your WS deadline is.
Are you sure nobody in the household has put some post in a drawer or a 'safe place'? Astonishingly, someone on here discovered post in a drawer last week.
