Well done on your focus on your goals inc weight lossDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Morning @Fortune_Smiles thank you for inviting me to pop back. Your enthusiasm and positivity shone through your latest post and made it a joy to read.
Just a thought re: exercise, have you checked out F@bulous50s on Y0uTube? The lady is so encouraging and offers easier options for those who have not exercised for a while. Do not be put off by the title, trust me, these workouts take some effort, but also get results. I found this channel during lockdown and it has been my 'go to' since. It is totally free and on a day like today when it is pouring down, I was happier to be exercising indoors. I would recommend starting with a 5-minute warm up, followed by a step workout, and then a stretch. I am aware that sadly some are unable to exercise and therefore never take it for granted. Not only is it good for the body, but also the soul.
Best wishes, Humboldt.7 -

Tidying Up 🧹
I spent yesterday morning tidying up finances and business matters ready for the new financial year. Invoices for March have been raised and accounts reconciled. And... I've been paid a salary for the first time 🥳 This has meant we've been able to put money back into savings for the first time since October 👏
Lunch was Pea & Broccoli Carbonara and supper was Coconut & Kale Fish Curry. We're travelling up to see the Younger Fortunates soon so I wanted to use up any veg that would go off if left. There's enough curry for today's lunch too.
I'm afraid I've neglected the housework somewhat over the last couple of weeks in favour of finishing the dress I started making for New Year's Eve. Usually dresses are made from fabric and thread but not this one. No, this one is made from sweat and swear words 😂 I don't know what I was thinking choosing a pattern for a fitted dress with lots of seams, lining and an invisible zip (I'm a novice after all). But it's finished now, fits and looks fab so I'm very pleased I persevered with it. I learned a great deal from this make and it's given me confidence to try out more advanced patterns going forward. Although I might opt for a simpler, faster make next time 😆
It's good to have an outstanding project completed and the housework will have to wait - nothing is likely to multiply or catch fire and I'm not expecting any visitors with dust allergies so no harm will be done by leaving it a while.
We're looking forward to our short break. It's to celebrate our recent birthdays (Mr F and I have birthdays a week apart so usually celebrate them jointly). There are some treats planned for us apparently so we're looking forward to being spoiled.

Thanks for the recommendation @Humboldt - I had heard of F'bulous50s but haven't looked into it yet. I'll give it a go.
