Next door are away this week and with not being woken up by them early every morning, we are sleeping ridiculous amounts. We are clearly in dire need of it!

Nearly an hour's walk dropping off small electricals recycling. To a bin that turned out not to be there. Thanks council. Happily I found one somewhere else entirely just happening to walk pastVery much ready for a large glass of rosè in the garden now before it rains for the next six days!

Carpetbaggers, the lot of 'em.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!1 -
We just recycled a big white bin & put it under our downpipe. Luckily the bottom couple of feet of downpipe unscrews. When we've had a downpour, we transfer the water from our water butt into a plastic dustbin.

that's brilliant PIP. Downshifting a coffee brand at corporate HQ could also help with the reduction of the £18.5 billion debt but could adversely affect staff satisfaction scores in the annual staff survey. Actually a Gov bail out sounds much easier. I don't know why so many of us on here are trying to take responsibility for our own spending.

Pass even more @beanielou, just found out Dolly Parton has died. I knew I was very fond of her but didn't know I'd feel this gutted. What a woman, what a talent, what a human being ❤️

A huge loss. She always stayed true to who she was, where she came from and what she believed in. The amount of gritty, doing-the-basics-well charitable work and support she gave was immense.
