moving to your new home is bittersweet but I really hope you settle in quickly and are happy there.
what will you do when there's no more "build admin" to amuse you? 🥴2 -
See what I can find and flog for the North London pot @Blackcats 😂
It will be fascinating indeed to see how we adjust, we literally cannot remember how it feels to not be incredibly stressed, peeved, and overwhelmed

Council Recycling and Refuse are still refusing to collect our rubbish from moving in date until Council Highways sign off on the kerb issue (despite us being completely up to date on everything they've asked of us, Mr PIP having submitted one of the best reports the council have ever seen, and the only issue being that it takes council months to respond to an email, oh and also we'll be paying council tax).Builder not responding to messages about whether a replacement oven is suitable, Magnet denying all responsibility for sending wrong size kitchen, not looking forward to begging Argos to let us swap months outside of returns window, and even less looking forward to not having the money to re-do the brand new kitchen if there's no way to make the basics fit.
However that may not be a problem as Building Controller is still asking for things our builder should have sent months ago and I'm starting to suspect he's irretrievably effed up, so if we can't sell it then terrible kitchen means sellers won't be put off and it's only us who'll suffer from it being utterly sh*te.
I guess if it doesn't get signed off we won't be in a worse position than we were a few years ago, and we'll have a functioning(ish) house and so we'll just pay the mortgage and start again in our old age trying to make money for an even tinier place and maybe rent build on airbnb as quirky or something.
Mr PIP has been over there every day he can trying to work at his responsible full time job while trying to make our awful stairs look in any way decent (after builder put in cheap mismatched staircase despite there being no room for confusion as we'd specifically said which of the two options we wanted, then said it would cost two grand we couldn't afford to correct it. I've half a mind to report him to the police for extortion)
Went pub. Happy Mondays everyone 🍻
