    @welshmansdaughter that is my escape plan of last resort - move somewhere were flats are in the 30K range and give up!

    Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

    In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    Builder measuring in centimetres & buying in inches, does not surprise me. Although when I had some work done I was quite surprised to find that they did indeed have to measure one way in cms & the other in inches - I mean still!
