Fab photo and how exciting. The Lancaster did a fly over Bingley Agricultural Show a few years back and the noise was just awesome.
If you thought the Lancaster was loud did you ever hear the Vulcan bomber. A beautiful but very loud aircraft which, unfortunately, is no longer flying. As an RAF brat from the 1950s it always reminded me of home.

Cheers @KajiKita and @Sallyforth, we were too far away to hear anything more than a hum but glad to have made the effort to mark the day anyway.
I'm not a flag-waving type but I'm very grateful to not be fighting in a war, not to be living through a war, and to not be living in a fascist country, so its a big cheers and thank you to all who fought from me 🍻

Still just doling out paltry life savings with no guarantee of anything happening @Sun_Addict but we'll see 😂😭

Woke up in a right old grump, there's just such a constant list of complex and overwhelming and expensive things to do, with the constant worry that it'll be for nothing and we'll have nothing left.

I know you are having a grumpy day and I hope it improves, but the above made me laugh. You are funny.

I’m sorry about the Octpods ongoing saga. Two thoughts:
    - ask, nay insist, that your issue gets raised by them as a formal complaint.
    - raise an issue with the ombudsman.
Would either of those be a possibility?

When do you start the invigilating?

I have Victoria sponge muffin envy … 😉😊

No! No laughing when I am being A Grumpy @doingitanyway 😂😂😂

It did cheer me up though DIA and @KajiKita 😁

KK, I went straight in at the start and said it was a complaint as I literally have the email in which they were told to close the account two years ago so them trying to pin their failure to do so on me can get right in the bin. I have now asked for complaint to be escalated and mentioned Ombudsman several times! Really would prefer not to have to go down that route as I had quite enough ombudsman-ing after my Dad died. Don't really want to bring back that trauma over something so bloody stupid.

First invigilator shift in a week and a half. Am practicing pretending to look like an adult with any authority whatsoever

Sorry you are feeling grumpy though if you can come back to grumpiness in a week and a half it might help you look like a serious, nay solemn invigilator.
