That sounds like a very viable answer to me.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (46/100) 3) The Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg

@Sun_Addict - you are a crossword genius and for once I understand the answer - as in going from no idea at all to "oh of course that makes sense"2

Definitely not a crossword genius but I used to do a lot of cryptic crosswords at one time so know all the tricks 😆 It’s best not to overthink the clues.Blackcats said:@Sun_Addict - you are a crossword genius and for once I understand the answer - as in going from no idea at all to "oh of course that makes sense"I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I only know tennis terminology by proxy as my dear departed mom was obsessed. Couldn’t get her to leave the house Wimbledon fortnight for love nor money and it was her sole topic of conversation during that time 😆PennysIntoPounds said:Ah, nice work @Sun_Addict! Could really have done with a lazy day but no bank holiday rest for me and Mr PIP...

Tidying
Sossidge sandwich, still several more to go from the freezer
We have run out of coffee and are trying not to buy anything in but it's a struggle!
30 minute walk up the high street getting cheaper-in-this-area bits and bobs, and dropping off a charity shop bag
Friends took the plant pots into their care
Survey
Receipt survey
Mr PIP drove some boxes across London to his parents place
50 minute walk dropping off more charity shop donations then returning a book to my friend
Did packing of various toiletries so they're all in one place and easily moved
Spent on bus fares and beers saying goodbye for now to one of our favourite pubs
I prepped dinner before we came out, pasta bake with tomato and spinach. With some garlic bread in the freezer that needs using up too
Absolutely creamcrackered, looking forward to an early night tonight!

We're only moving round the corner from my mums' @Sun_Addict so we're very well acquainted with the local pubs 😁 Several decent ones, including one we don't go to often as it's nice but pricey but they've started doing a quiz with a bar tab as the prize so we might see how we fare at that when we have time and mental energy
Isn't it just @KajiKita! If we could now get any bloody answers from the council about the build that would be flippin fantastic!
We're grateful to be able to have the opportunity to live together and save a bit of money and be near mum, but its also a reminder that we're a middle aged couple moving into a quasi flat share through family friends who are benefiting from this arrangement with no home of our own. Please, council, just do your job or stop wasting our lives and money, pleeease
This morning's progress has been Mr PIP chasing surveyor and doing Change of Addresses that are address-dependent, and I have eaten some more sossidges 😂

Focus on the positives, you are moving in together and it is just round the corner from your mum. !!!!!! knows about the council. Now a General Election has been called the change I was hoping for will not happen so I need to make a decision on what to do if anything.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2
