Woke up quite grumpy today and I don't know why

Tidying
30 minute walk getting birthday cake and handing it in at restaurant for tomorrow.
Realised I had a bit more than I remembered on the M&S gift card so used that rather than take it out of current account. Still got a small bit left so should still be able to get us all a treat dinner in as long as no-one wants anything too flash!
Receipt survey
Half wussy situps
Hamstring really not happy about anything

Went through all the faff of listing something on ebay only to finally submit and be told 'sorry the listing function isn't working right now'. Absolutely superb work, ebay
x2 15 minute carpet walks but not doing any more today in case it's bothering my leg aches
But spent most of the afternoon in bed reading and eating a ton of sugar and felt much cheerier after that!
Going to have an inherited beer and see if any more crossword answers are forthcoming, and read more of my book which I started yesterday and am speeding through; Dreamland by Rosa Rankin-Gee
Mum is out all today and wants us to have a glass of prosecco when she gets back late this evening, so must stay vaguely awake
Dinner is random leftovers from the fridge to free up some space and tupperware

That inherited beer stock seems never ending, hope you enjoy today’s drink 🍻I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I'm fairly confident both letters in there are right but not 100% so bear in mind that they may not be0 -

Looked at what I need to print for application for reduced LPA fees, brain shut down

Small bit of spec work

20 minute walk getting the free paper for the crossword answers- the answer to the clue in my last post was Moreover, me and mum got it at the last minute!
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning an armchair we have nowhere to put so I will also accept wine. And chocolate. And cash.
Particularly tired today but going out for mum's birthday meal so let's see how much I can not spend without being tight 😁

Today's doings were admin and tidying basic essentials before getting us adequately fed to go out to a friend's lunchtime recital then drinks afterwards in central London- good thing I had a few quid left from mum's birthday pot after our lovely evening yesterday!
Another lovely time had at his recital though, and I wore a gorgeous tailored shirt mum was getting rid of that I wasn't sure would suit me but it looked good so that's a mse addition to the wardrobe
I'm worried about my friend as he's lost a lot of weight over last couple of months, is feeling fatigued, unable to walk far and at his normal pace, his skin looks shoddy, his speech is slower than usual, and he's feeling sore everywhere. They've checked him intensively for all the normal worrying things and nada. Hopefully next appointment will bring productive tidings
Got a big pizza from Aldi rather than the more convenient but more expensive Sainsers
Mr PIP went to collect some fancy bread from Olio
We seem to be spending every day asking if there's been any news from the council about the build. There is never any news from the council about the build
We shall just have to keep on bunging whatever couple of quid we can find to the flat pot. I'm on £4650 of 100k now *chants 'how hard can it be'* 😁0 -
Great about the shirt and the recital, but sorry to hear about your friend - like you say let’s hope it gets diagnosed soon.
Where did you get on contacting your MP etc about the planning process? Did you get chance to try that?KKAs at 15.06.25:

- OPs to mortgage = £11,338 Interest saved £5225 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030

Thanks @KajiKita
Contacting a ward councillor is next on the list but to do that we need to know where we're up to so we know what we're complaining about, and getting answers from the council about what they have and haven't approved let alone any time guidance makes getting blood out of a stone look easy. We're also waiting on Thames Water to give us guidelines/permission (and a bill of course) for building near the sewer so I expect we'll proceed in approximately 300 years time0 -
Have they checked your friend for blood cancer? Some of those symptoms sound worryingly like the ones Mr SA had at the start of his Lymphoma journey. I hope he can get some clarity at his next appointment.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
