Thanks @vampirotoothus that's interesting!

Not much to report; tired and grumpy from leg hurting.
At least the spider bite has stopped driving me mad- did I mention that? A black and red spider bit me and my ankle swelled up and hurt to walk on, and was waking me up in the night itching. So at least that's some positive news
Managed some household tasks like changing the sheets which felt like a big victory. Really need to buy a new hoover, neither me nor mum can actually move this one without agonies
Finally transferred £30 to the flat pot from bits and bobs by sending it out of my account to another account then sending it on to the pots account. An unnecessary palaver but at least it's done and the pots are up to date
I think a glass of wine or two, mse dinner of leftovers, and an earlyish night are in order. Hopefully tomorrow will bring less soreness, more energy, and any progress on anything good.
Absolutely agree @EssexHebridean but this was a 4% thirst quencher so £9.90 a pint was definitely not being paid for what I'd hoped was a sessionable beer!

Vacuum cleaners - I absolutely LOVE my Sh@rk - although I appreciate they are on the pricey side, and I certainly wouldn't have bought "Jaws" at full price! Lovely and light though - even getting him up and down the stairs is a breeze so far as I am concerned.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hmm I was eyeing up a Dys*n @EssexHebridean but I might look at those too. The lighter the better for this household!
Are the PB no longer relevant because you moving around the corner has put you in a different county or did you take savings out for buying the new place?1 -
Well I spoke too soon, fox going through the bins woke me up at 530am then I couldn't get back to sleep because the clearly radioactive spider bite was driving me mad
Managed eventually to get a bit more sleep but you know how it is when sleep is disrupted and it leaves you out of sorts all day
But I did get a £10 Am*zon voucher from a C*-op survey- thank you @Foxgloves for inspiring me to keep the faith!
And I sold a top on V!nted which happily requested a delivery method I could do up just up the road
While out I bought some Aldo bread; I was torn between own brand wholemeal and a seeded then realised the seeded was white bread so that saved me 50p. Half the loaf has gone in the freezer so it doesn't go off before it gets eaten
And while I was out I found two McD*nald's monopoly tokens on the street- I'm now only one token found on the street away from winning a gaming laptop, which I have absolutely no need or desire for but a win's a win
Had an actual client job, hooray
Showered and washed my hair (it's an achievement okay?! 😁)
Entered some competitions- today I'm mostly looking forward to winning some chocolate (I am very pre-menstrual. If the fox wakes me up tonight I'm going to go downstairs and sobbingly lecture it about how it's performing the function of the patriarchy. That should put it off)

I hope the fox has the good sense to go foraging somewhere else tonight.

Quite @Blackcats I do have visions of myself chasing poor fox down the street at 5am as it desperately flees, shouting 'this is EXACTLY what I meant by you upholding functioning privilege, you won't even listen to my point of view!' as the neighbours start getting a petition together to ban me from the area 😂
I don't do very well with sleep deprivation or hormonalness, can you tell3 -
Hello 😊 I've obviously not been paying attention as this is the first time I've noticed your diary. I have read all of it though to make amends. I have EDS and so does my House Troll (18 year old son). I'm sorry that you have it too. My House Troll has it worse than I do because my really bad joint pain didn't start until I was in my late thirties whereas he has been in pain that needs to be medicated since he was 11. He gets higher rate PIP for daily living and ordinary mobility rate but it's enough for him to be a bit more independent and use cabs instead of me having to drive him everywhere.
We gave our Dyson away as neither of us could carry it down the stairs safely and we have a Shark one now which is much lighter. I also bought one with a cord as apposed to cordless as I couldn't be doing with anything that needed charging - if I feel up to cleaning it has to be done while I feel well enough. I was on steroids a couple of weeks ago (latest allergy appears to be strawberries) and it was lovely because I had energy for three whole days. The pain when I finished the tablets was a bit grim but it was worth it for a reminder of what normal feels like.
We moved house because our previous neighbours had laminate flooring, clumpy shoes and couldn't communicate in anything less than a bellow so I know where you're at with the upstairs neighbours. We now live in a post war built ex council house - the houses were designed to withstand bombing because of when they were built. The door frames are metal which is a bit odd but totally liveable with especially as it's rare to hear either of our neighbours (mid terrace) unless they're drilling into one of the party walls.2 -
I second (or is it third?) a Sh*rk vacuum. We bought one last year (it was on offer in JL) & it is so much lighter than our previous one. I have arthritis in my hands & had been starting to find our old one too heavy to manoeuvre without my hands feeling stiff afterwards. I wasn't sure how I'd get on with the faff of a rechargeable one, but I now prefer it & the vacuuming doesn't take me as long, which is always good.

We bought our "Jaws" on an MSE deal - I think if I recall correctly it was half the list price, and included some extra attachments and an extra battery - so one battery lives permanently on the charger so it's ready for use, and the other stays on the machine until it goes flat at which stage I swap - that works brilliantly and means that the beast is always ready for action, as it were. (fnar fnar!) Mine is also one of those that comes apart into a handheld and a standard vacuum - which makes it brilliant on stairs (as I now know) and also makes it even easier to move around and store (when it's all together it has a hinge in the middle of the handle that reduces its height by 50% - a win as it fits into the understairs cupboard!). I wouldn't switch back to a cordless now - and in fact the cord is the only thing that narks me a little about my steam mop.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
