All washing dried outside, brought in and folded up. Now I can ignore the black clouds scudding over occasionally. 😊
Pots and recycling WULTD.
Just eaten scrambo on toast for lunch - used up my eggs before they go over their best before date.
GF is at a Drag Fest in Manchester with her bestie, and DS is waiting for the shopping to arrive, then coming to see me 😊 Yayyy

Hi,
Welcome applepad, hope you are feeling better Valli
I haven't been in since Monday and have just been keeping up with the dailies, and insisting that when DD washes up it is not left to drain as I want to get up to a clean kitchen.
Am off now until Tuesday so am playing catch up.
Up early and in town this morning for eye test as I had noticed my eyes were getting worse, including distance this time. The difference in my last test 2 years ago was shocking how much worse they have got so I have ordered and am going to try some varifocals. I have been working with 2 pairs recently so now adding in the distance would be a nightmare to do. Decluttered a small fortune in pounds and will pick up in 2 weeks.
Was going to catch up with DD for a coffee afterwards but came out of the optician and was met with DD, DDIL and DGS. Naturally coffee cost me double. We then had a mooch round and DGS wanted a fluffy blanket for the sofa and is now the proud owner of a dinosaur style once. Fling more £'s. Then he wanted ice cream and his mummy said its ok for grandparents to spoil him a little so then we had a long wait while he ate his chocolate ice cream as she would not allow it in the car. She has now taken him home to soak his chocolatey clothes, gotta have fun with a 3 year old
Fruit & salad bought from the F&V shop, and much cheaper than the supermarkets.
Now at home sorting spends but am shattered so may fit in a short kip before I crack on.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!7 -
I’m still here. Flapping helplessly but here nonetheless. I’ll post properly tomorrow. Big love to you all xx9

Good to see you, asb x
I haven't done a lot today. Woke up at 4.00 this morning, saw DH off to his wargames convention at 6.45, having cooked pasta and made a pasta salad lunch and a not-quite-overnight oats breakfast for him to take with him, then took toast and coffee up to bed and slept for most of the morning. Rosie has had a decent walk this afternoon, and DH finally returned at 6.30, having been held up by the cancellation of 5 trains (normally a quarter-hourly service) due to the drivers' work to rule.
I did manage to put the clean cover on my duvet, did WMx1, fed and watered the orchids and amaryllis, and checked my budget (not good news), but very little else. Not feeling like a high flyer today.
See you tomorrow on the new thread xxx7 -

Morning everyone, so sorry I'm just posting the lists and running. I seem to be running around like a headless chicken, and then when I'm not doing that I've collapsed in a heap...lol
Valli, I know you've probably heard this a million times, but do try and pace yourself hon. Don't do too much too soon, give yourself time to fully recover to full health.
Things are moving a bit faster than we thought here with regard to the house move. I've got boxes everywhere and the house is totally on its head...I can't even make it look reasonably tidy due to the boxes.
I was hoping to exchange at the end of last week but it looks like it'll be early next week. But we've got a completion date of 23rd August and we are moving in on the 6th September (well we'd better as I've been organising everything for that date..lol) It was weird how quick it suddenly escalated once the searches were in. It also looks like we've sold our house too, hopefully we'll know for definite next week. And all without putting it on the market too..lol
I spent best part of last week ringing around and doing all the paperwork/admin for the house move. Bless Dave, he says he can sort it but there are a few days the chemo makes him completely unable to do anything hence why I'm doing all the admin/paperwork.
The cats are being transported in style to the new house as I've organised a pet transport company to take them for me, the removal men are going to do all our packing for us (except our personal stuff). They are coming around on Monday to see what they have to do and tell us how much etc... I've got to let people see my house..eeks. so I've also got to throw things in a box out of the way so it looks reasonable...
I'm also driving up to Wales, on moving day, on my own as my mate has said he doesn't feel he can cope with the journey coming home on a coach for 7 hrs. So Dave is driving up with the dog and I'm going on my own in my car...eeks Lots of coffee and stops I think for me.
I've missed you all.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, set WM swishing with towels, tea towels and pillow cases, and supped Brew 1.
I'm now trying to decide whether to get dressed then sup brew 2, or vice versa. It's a hard life 🤣
Then I'll:
Feed the birds
Put out the rubbish and recycling
DUPA yesterday's pots
Peg out the washing.
Sounds like a plan.
Have a lovely Sunday

Early start to the day again today as frantic phone call from Dad as mum was not well again and he didn't know what to do. Transpires somehow she has hurt her arm and cant move it since early this morning. She lost mobility on the other side due to a stroke so has no ability to eat or drink unless being fed. Dad hadn't even given her her morning meds bless him. She has an eye clinic appointment this afternoon so I will meet him there and if she is still having trouble we can take her round to A&E as it was ok until she tried to pull herself over when the carers were doing her personal care. That gives me a couple of hours so I am going to hoover through and dust if nothing else, then prep dinner so that DD can put it on if I am still out with Dad.
Other stuff done, food shop on way home, that's all put away. Fridge and freezer shuffle and leftovers labelled and put into space made in freezer. WULTD.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -
Well I’ve managed an hours gardening-weeding, washed DS1’s gym kit- saw it in his room this am🤬 he last went to gym Thursday!
Picked up after dog, emptied bin from our bedroom, sorted DH’s tray in lounge. Checked supermarket pizza base in fridge- it’s a bit out of date, but looks ok , so will have pizza, salad and HM wedges for dinner.
Been through Credit card statement with DH- he is an additional card holder, looked at changing payment method of phone sim and instant ink, but it’s card or PayPal only!
Going to see DD2 today as it’s her birthday, and take GD2 her summer present- she has a winter birthday.7 -
Felt grotty this morning, but after lunch and a nap I managed to walk Rosie and then foraged another 1.6kg (about 3lb) of blackberries [nom-nom]. They are safely stowed in the freezer.
Tomorrow DH has a horse piddle appointment, after which I must go to Action Heart at the other end of the same building. On my way home I also need to drop off 2 full black bags at the CS and do a small shop at MrAl's, so it looks as if we shall be taking 2 cars.6
