Thanks for having me, I must have know it was vacuum day today, I washed my vac’s filter yesterday and cleaned out the the bit that collects the dust, just checked and it’s nearly dry. I’ll dust the mantel too, I never know which way round it is, but I guess vac first, dust second?5

I’ve got confused, vacuuming is on the list for Thursday and it’s Friday yay no vacuuming for me tonight, it’s still sunny ‘up north’ so I’m in the garden getting free vitamin D 🤣😂⛱️8

Evening all, and welcome applepad.
I've had 3 tiring days.
Wednesday's drive to the East Midlands was mostly along busy motorways: an hour and a half each way for a 3-hour meet-up with our friends, but very much worth it for the pub food and congenial company. After our evening meal I did a food shop.
Yesterday I stripped both beds, did and hung out WMx3, and cleaned all the bits of the house (apart from the utility, which atm is thankfully about as tidy as it gets), ending up with severe backache, so unfortunately Rosie had to manage without a proper walk. Somehow I still managed to cook a more than half-decent evening meal for us and a friend from church. When she left at 10.15 I did HHI. I didn't have the strength to put my duvet cover back on, but it was warm enough to sleep under my little blanket (and I shall do the same tonight).
If you'd asked me at 6.00 this morning if I was going to Action Heart, I would probably have said no, as my back was still very painful, but another dose of parrots and another couple of hours' sleep did wonders. I made it to my workout and managed everything except the rowing. Then I went out for lunch with my Greek friend, delivered birthday gifts to DGD2, and FUPA clean washing and ironing. I am now officially winding down for the weekend, and thinking that more parrots and an early night would not be a bad idea. DH is off to a wargaming convention in Nottingham tomorrow and tells me he is catching the 7.15 train - this from the man who put breakfast on the table at 10.00 this morning.
DD has just sent me a photo of the rigging of the Cutty Sark, which she and DGS1+2 have climbed today - yikes! Not to the very top, but a fair way out along the yardarm. I'm glad they didn't tell me in advance what they had planned!
A good weekend to all xxx6 -
been to the paid stuff but felt ‘off’ ie not quite well and had a headache so i’ve been catastophising hysterically … no doubt triggered by my recent illness. came home from work and laid down and slept for 3 hours…woke to be handed tea by DD as she was going paddle boarding. rallied sufficiently to cut the lawn again, as it was too long and wet to cut properly yesterday and was dripping with sweat. temp 37deg so not quite enough to trigger a trip to hospital. anyway i’ve stripped and remade my bed and showered and feel much better so i am no longer planning funeral mixtape.
Walked up to postbox to post a card which i’m hoping will be delivered Monday, collection is 7am tomorrows apparently so should be ok.Two ebay listings have bids. Fling.
anyway i’m on a week's holiday. going to that there London on Friday but apart from that the world is my lobster (lol)
sorry for typos. Now the thread is wider i can’t easily make it bigger so i struggle to read it on my ipad
