Oh well done Ivyleaf - and the new Mum of course
Feeling better now and have quit panicking for the day. I drowned my personal dab radio this morning and went to argos to get a new one. Ordered online and the price was £59 but when I went to pay it was only £24.99 - result! have paid for insurance as I drown them regularly. Finished the last of the food shoppin (I hope) and after a chat with dd18 I am cheating a bit and have bought readymade stuffing balls and mnce pies. She said that I try to recreate the perfect xmas that I didn't have and end up fraught and shouty so I should let go and try not to be little miss perfect housewife (goodness knows I'm not the rest of the year). It was manic though - outside asda a woman was having a huge row with a cabbie - he was chucking the shopping out and she was throwing it back in - when I got out of the shop the police were there.
Tomorrow must take out dgs3 to buy something for his mum but I have no idea what to get. She likes chavtastic jewellry but already has a "Mum" ring, pendant, bracelet and earings. Argos have a Mum ankle chain but that might be a step too far even for her. If I leave it to him to choose she'll get something dr who relatedI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

Hi again
CONGRATULATIONS IVYLEAF ON YOUR LOVELY GRAND-DAUGHTER!
Took DS to local play centre with next-door neighbours daughter so I have managed to do what I wanted to do study wise. Shall get up at the crack of dawn and get writing.
hugs to all who are panicking and trying to get shopping done. I really do hate it. Well told OH today I really didn't want a huge party on Xmas eve. He has agreed to cancel it, so feel much less stressed about everything.
Looking forward to toad-in-the-hole and DS going to bed as he's being a bit of a s*d.
Have a good evening:A xxxx0 -
congrats ivyleaf on the new arrival, hope they are home for xmas.
Ellie my shopping came this morning, 20 mins early and all in stock :T , although had to nip to local shop to get treacle for nigellas ham, but am sure I have it all now. Hope yours is all ok. xx
Have done almost nothing all day, well, had a huge clean through of the house this morning, and washed DD'd PE uniform for next term, OH cleaned all the bird feed holders, and re filled them, and put water out for them, we had loads of birds on the tree this afternoon. Had a quick walk round the local town of many charity shops, but it was too packed to be enjoyable so came home and watched a film. Just going off to have a bath, DD has given me a makeover with her new makeup and I look like this  .
Have good evenings all.0 -
