Sometimes.... I am like a dog with a bone0 -
I assume this is in anticipation of the expected BOE increase. Shame it's not a top tier rate.0

I'll leave my £0.02 in there for now
Retired 1st July 2021.
This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."1 -
I've kept it open with £2 in case it becomes competitive again, but with other accounts offering 4.5% seems a pointless exercise in only going up to 4.3%!0

I'm surprised they don't inform their customers when they put up their rates (still not received an e-mail), others do ... e.g. Chase informed me yesterday morning that they were putting up their rate to 4.1% on the 14th August.0

Thanks for your quick and very early replies.
I also receive e-mails (not this time yet) but always after the event, last time it was 10:16 on the date of the change (7th July 4.00%) where I was the one to notify the board via a thread when I discovered the rate when logging on; indeed the wording is 'we've increased the rate'.
It risks people shifting funds to other accounts too quickly.0 -
