Today I am grateful for freebies from lovely people, for my morning gym session, for scoring 2 good f+v boxes, for a quiet day, for my cousin popping over.

Went to collect my medication this morning and much to my surprise and that of the pharmacy they had just received a delivery of the cancer tablet I needed. Apparently they have been unavailable for weeks and before that the supplies were intermittent. Someone must have been smiling on me. So now I have enough to last past my holidays. It's a great relief I can tell you.
Not an NSD as I popped into Aldi and bought some things that I needed for the holiday.

Evening turtles 🐢
On call again today but didn't get called in, took the opportunity to get some cleaning and cooking done for the week ahead.
Went to the gym after I'd finished, and just walked down to a local car meet for a bit to take some photos. Other than that a pretty chilled day.10 -

Thanks for all the rug love, haven't managed to finish it before my return to work tomorrow, but no worries. So glad you've got your medication sorted @Toni'sfriend , you don't need worry like that in top of everything else!
Sorry this be not posted for a few days. Had a sleepover at mum's Friday night. We looked at the craft sale in a second hand furniture shop (bought a few burst), looked round the flower displays in the cathedral (nearly cried when I saw a pedestal arrangement done in memory of an old lady who lived up the road from me, who'd died in June), then mum treated us to a Chinese. Sorted a few boxes, watched a film together & went to bed. Up at a decent time & all shopping finished by 10am!
DH had a temperature, so I took him in to A&e. Had good foresight to take my book 😊 We were there @12, then he was admitted on to a ward @2.30. When I home, I reheated my Chinese leftovers, shortened the legs on a boilersuit & made pizzas. Got all the chores done, then did some of my rug.
Hung washing on the line, put some pork in the slow cooker, then did a sewing job. When DS1 came home, we went for a walk on some moorland. He'd not been there before, but loved it, especially when he picked a handful of bilberries! Drove home a different route & he discovered new roads he'd not driven on before. Popped sweet potato wedges & next doors home grown tomatoes on the vine in the oven. Served them up with the pork. DS tasted his pork & went 'wow!!' so that made me feel good 😃 got all the chores done early, then started another sewing job. Hung more washing out. Next door have also washed some towels for me (our machine needs new bearings, so not washing at high temp or spinning at high speeds, til the bits come home). It's like widow twankey's launderette 🤣
Picked DS3 up from town, as he went to the cinema with a friend.
Back to school for me tomorrow, then the kids start back Tues. No idea when DH will be discharged from hospital, take it a day at a time. Wish me luck!
Grateful for s great time with mum, the NHS, a nice walk & chat with DS1, his compliment for his tea & me enjoying my tea too 😋Use it up, wear it out

Glad you got your meds @Toni’sfriendNot checked in over the weekend so here’s a quick update.Friday I did a 9am Zumba class after dropping DS at school at 8.45. Made it with minutes to spare. Afterwards I went shopping with OH who wanted swimming goggles. Bought DS two new pairs of shoes (one for casual wear and the other for indoors at school). He’s grown out of most of his things over the summer. Picked up DS from school and headed straight to the swimming.Grateful on Friday for a fun time with OH and DS at swimming, DS becoming more confident in the water, for doing some decent exercise, and spending time with my best friend, OH.Saturday I was lazy beyond belief. I stayed in my pyjamas and in my bed until around 3 O’clock. OH and DS were at OH’s football training and then spent the afternoon building a big Lego train DS got for his birthday. I was in my element, in bed, holiday planning on the laptop.Grateful for organising a couple of exciting holiday activities, sorting some paperwork, and for OH and DS allowing me to ’do my thing’ although the ‘doing’ was doing little 😆Sunday we watched ‘our’ football team win and then visited OH’s auntie, uncle and cousin who had just returned from working abroad for 6 months.Did end of week Sunday sweeps. Underspends in transport, food, and leisure amounted to around £50. Straight into the holiday fund.Grateful to spend time with family, for OH’s and DS’s football happiness after win, and for having a decent Sunday sweet into savings.Have a good week turtles x
