thriftylass said:@Thrifty_Taylor how did you make the rug? Was it a kit you bought. Do you have a picture of the finished product?
P.S. what did it mean when your friend said she wanted to be your friend from first sight? Not a native English speaker and never heard that expression.
My friend thought that when she first saw me, she wanted us to be friends straight away. Have you heard of love at first sight? Age meant a similar thing to that, without the love bit.Use it up, wear it out

Hope things improve @ditty1234, & your appointment went ok @Toni'sfriend. Hope you feel a bit better tomorrow @grandmanerd. I know it won't help this time, but a friend says B0dy Sh0p satsuma mist is great at keeping midges away. They have been appearing in Scotland this week unfortunately, so might give the mist a try!

Had a lie in this morning. Had a back & neck massage booked for 10.30 (paid for from my sewing business, so don't count it as a spend). Did a bit of sorting paperwork on my return, then started a new book. DH used most of the mushrooms in the fridge & made soup for dinner. Afterwards, we walked through a wood (not many of them on our island), & collected lots of pinecones for my bug hotel. We were going to walk through the field on the other side, to get some locally made ice cream, but the field was full of cows, a bull & sheep, so we turned round & came home. I had ice cream from the freezer 😋 Had a chat with DS2 about relatives & drew him a family tree, then showed him photos. He was quite interested, as not met most of them. He last went south when he was 4, & now nearly 19! Not many relatives have been up to visit, except my brother & his family, & 1 of my cousin's. Then went & spoke with DS1, who explained why he was feeling sad yesterday. I think talking about it helped. Hoovered the car out, then dishes after tea, a bit more rug, then reading in the bath. I'm a quarter of the way through the book already, so might have it finished by the time I return to work on Monday, then can give it back to a colleague.
Grateful for a nice walk, pampering time, a tidy car & time to read
Happy fri-yay tomorrow folks!Use it up, wear it out

Lovely rug @Thrifty_Taylor looks like you know exactly where it is going - it looks made to fit somewhere ,- oh, bespoke I mean .
Yesterday was A-levels day. DS2 got the results he deserved for the work he did. 😭 He just would not be told. So now he is looking for a job. Allegedly. Like DS1. Allegedly.

No major plans for tonight. Might just try B+Q again to find the paint for DD room, was sold out yesterday. And then loads of painting tomorrow as I need to finish at least DD rooms as the furniture gets delivered on Monday. On Sunday we have a family BBQ.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/258 -
You are clever, Thrifty Taylor. I am hopeless at anything crafty. My Granny taught my to knit when I was little. Maybe I should take it up again. It might be quite relaxing.
Scan all done, As I suspected, the radiographers were as confused as I was.
I was very naughty and rewarded myself with a take away Chinese for dinner. First time in ages. OK, I'll head over to the naughty step.

Good news - I got some jobs done
Bad news - Himself put my prescription into the chemist to be told they don't have the cancer drug I need because there is a shortage and they don't know when they will be able to get it. I've only three left. So, tomorrow I shall have to trawl the chemists in the town and see if by any chance one of them has some. If not I'll have to enlist the help of my neighbour to see is we can access it further afield. If we can't don't know what to do. I have an appointment with my oncologist on Tuesday morning. Perhaps she can help. Feeling totally pi**ed off today.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -

@Toni'sfriend I really hope you can get it sorted, that sounds like a horrendous situation to be in
Didn't post yesterday, but was feeling much better than I did on Wednesday. Had a busy day at work, I ordered something I needed for the aquarium so no NSD. I booked swimming after work but got held up so I had to cancel, lost the money unfortunately as I cancelled too late. Perhaps I should book before work instead next time, no risk of being held up then!
Today has been a NSD, am feeling back to normal. Got my test results and everything is fine so back to the drawing board for what the problem may or may not be. Went to the gym first thing, managed a walk at lunchtime then back to the gym after work. Am currently on call doing overtime, forgot I'm on call until midnight!I'm usually asleep on the sofa by 10, better make sure that doesn't happen tonight!
