if you are still swimming I guess you know that 32 lengths of a standard pool = 1/2 mile.
So for just 2 more lengths you could boast : "I've just swum half a mile, sounds so much more impressive (in my mind!!) than 30 lengthsBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
