if you are still swimming I guess you know that 32 lengths of a standard pool =  1/2 mile.
So for just 2 more lengths you could boast : "I've just swum half a mile, sounds so much more impressive (in my mind!!) than 30 lengths

I usually do 40 to 50 lengths minimum. Being metric I always try to swim over a kilometre lol!
