CSI_Yorkshire said:Fofozuzu - It's not a negotiation. You're not in a market haggling over fruit.
Evidence. Clearly laid out, precise, and without random discussions getting in the way. Not talking about faults, or responsibilities, or fair and unfair.
Ombudsman looks at yours. Ombudsman looks at E.ON's. Ombudsman decides who is right. They don't look for compromises or what would be nice.
If you are taking this to the Ombudsman, you need the clear and precise evidence without spoiling your argument with the rest.It is also worth making another key point. The complainant cannot normally add evidence to a submitted complaint. EOS procedures make it very clear that no additional evidence will be accepted unless there is a justified reason for not submitting the information at the time of the original complaint.2 -
So from £5920 asked yesterday it could be £3200 for 2 years before maybe going to only 12 months backdated bill as it is their fault so when I calculated £1500/1600 per year I wasn’t far away.
I cannot be bothered to go back through 11 pages to see whether the above calculation is valid. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but BackBilling is not straightforward.
If say a supplier agrees to write off charges amounting to, say, £1000 and during the period of write off the consumer has paid £900 into the account, the actual saving to the consumer is £1000 - £900 or £100. Moreover, if there has been a credit refund, the supplier is entitled to recover this amount.
In sum, BackBilling was not brought in to penalise suppliers: its function is solely to prevent consumer bill shock.

my evidence is on the day we got the keys of the flat we took photos of the readings the off peak one was 82500 April 16 2021 now eon first mentioned the reading of 71300 in July 2023
, I would have thought that is precise undisputed evidence,0 -
Dolor , the “ evidence “ was lodged less than one hour after the online form was and as it wasn’t live yet , the “ evidence “ was lodged and accepted,
you learned something also today but thanks for all your efforts.0 -

th thanks dolor, will see.
qrizb , took over the flat on 16 April may 2021 , submitted the readings when was asked in July 21 ( and again in August 21 with photos and emails to eon ) and no mention of the off peak until may 2023 with a reading estimate of 79486 for 29 july 2021 then next time the off peak is mentioned is 17 july 2023 mentioning opening reading ( not provided by us ) of 71148 dated 29 july 2021
IMPOSSIBLE0 -
We have dated photos of day, time readings 1 daytime 2 nighttime 3 off peak 82500 on April 16 2021
Apple phone don’t lie when you take a photo, email don’t lie either for date ,time person to whom it was sent. Sorry I forgot to say.0 -
I feel sorry for EON next and the ombudsman trying to understand your complaint in full, as the details are all over the place.
Page 11, and still no clue as to the following...
Did your son check his bills at all in 2021 or 2022?And did he see that readings were missing or wrong?Did he raise it with his supplier then? If not, why not?
He should have done something at the point he got this bill...
So good luck with the ombudsman.1 -
As far I know I am not an expert and I am not presenting my case to yourself, glad to see that you can feel sorry for someone ,shame it not us.
answers , no he didn’t check his bills in 21/22. So no he didn’t realise that the readings were missing and were wrong. It was raised in April/may 23 when eon eventually asked why he was providing 3 readings for months ,so yes he raised it up at first bill with 3 readings
Only big question for you vic-sf49 is please look at photos below of the day he got the keys of the flat 16 April 2021 with reading of 81539 and WHY THE FIRST TIME AND SINCE THEN EON USES AN OPENING METER READING NOT SUPPLIED BY US OF 71148 in essence an extra 10000 units in july2023
maybe then you will slightly feeling sorry for my son, for the rest apologies for my unorganised way of presenting all the materials. Thanks0
