I can't remember if I mentioned it but links in posts opening in the same page is *really* annoying, especially if you accidentally touch that area of the screen rather than actually choosing to open the link. Extra frustrating when you're in the middle of typing a reply, accidentally open a link, you have to press 'back' to get back to the forum and what you typed so far has disappeared.3

Agreed - 3rd party links should default to opening in a new tab. (I can understand MSE links, especially MSE Forum links, opening in the same tab).Jenni x1

) I guess people know that in Windows 'shift click' opens in a new instance and 'control click' in a new tab.

The biggest bugbear for me is still this rollover drop down menu which covers nearly half the screen gets in the way far too often. I've seen a lot of complaints about it so I know it's not just me. If it only became a dropdown menu once clicked instead, I'm sure that would be preferable to many.

The old forum you got emails when someone posted on a bookmarked page, now we have no emails to update us I’m finding I’ve lost the reminder to comment/update and this results in a lack of debt payments for mePay off debt by Xmas 2023 #23My debt free diary https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6436651/clearing-my-debt-after-25-years#latest

I'm sure there's lots going on in the background with the various teams beavering away
It'd be nice to get another update though in terms of progress, ongoing issues, things that might still change, things that won't change - as it's been over a week since the last one (an eternity in the internet world).
My posting has reduced drastically since the update - and I get the feeling that posting in general seems low, with quite a few threads where someone has managed to ask a question who then don't come back (that happened in the past too - but without working notifications and so many clicks to get to where you need to be I'm not sure some of the less experienced posters are finding their original post, and are probably unlikely to know they've even had a response)I'm still finding it challenging through:Not having notifications workingThe big drop downsNot having a latest posts button anywhereHaving to click so many steps to find my old posts and then clicking on them individually to see if there have been any repliesOn the plus side it seems quite a few things have been ironed out - but there still feels to be quite a way to go yet before it's even close to what we used to have. Here's hoping for both an up-to-date update - and a bit of continued progress in the coming week or so.3 -
