I do apologise to anyone who's spent any energy wondering what was going on! I found out I had accidently disabled javascript. The forum is completely fine now that I've re-enabled it!1 -
Hi everyone
Just a quick update that if you've chosen to hide the menu, you'll soon see a little icon in your menu bar.
As we tell more people outside this thread about the ability to hide the menu, we need to give them a quick way back to the preference page if they change their mind.
In the future when you turn off the menu, a little popup will point out the icon as a way to get back to the menu preference page.Join the MSE Forum

That sounds really useful!

And a quicker solution (for me) than searching through my bookmarks!0

Suppose it accidentally gets turned off,
How do you locate where to turn it on again?0 -

I've just added an update here. If you hide the menu, the icon I mentioned above is your link to the preference page

That doesn't really answer the question though ... if you click on that icon and then choose to show the menu (or it accidentally gets reset by the forum) the icon disappears. The question was - how do you easily (without saving a bookmark) get back to that page in order to hide the fly out menu again? If the icon's not there, where do you click to get to that page?Jenni x0

Same here. It does explain in the linked page they hope to make it easier to use in the future...
