Personally I never look at the Homepage - I use this Welcome to the MoneySavingExpert Forum - MoneySavingExpert Forum as my gateway into the site and then go from there. That said - I am certainly scrolling through less and less and probably missing useful and interesting information as a result, not sure i would have got to grips with things like the need for voluntary NI contributions or the opportunity to make money from cutting electricity use with the new layout.Debt Free Wannabe by 1 December 2027

Can you please get rid of the "Quick Links" and "Categories" automatic drop-down menus? As a user who is responding to many posts, it is a nightmare when opening separate tabs when the mouse pointer passes over one of those menu options and the drop-down just covers everything up and you have to fiddle about trying to get the drop-down menu to disappear.
It is obviously something that the designers have added as a cute javascript option but for users who use the site all the time and need to open multiple tabs, it is just a waste of time, effort and useless scripting overhead that could save the site Gb of bandwidth without the stupid javascript being uploaded each time a new tab/window is opened.
It is not beyond anyone to select the menu and then select the sub-option without it forever automatically dropping down and obscuring the page when trying to read the content.
I suspect that this will just fall on deaf ears.0 -

I just spotted Split off threads don't get a OP marker.0

I think they mean that when a new thread is created by splitting another thread, the name of the "original poster" (i.e. the first post in the new, split-off, thread) doesn't appear in the thread listings.Jenni x2

Has something changed with the forum styling today? It's looking a lot different and I can see some functionality has disappeared (choosing between newest reply & newest thread in the all discussions page for example)0
