My partner didn't get the right vibes . Loved the views but the small windows n deep sills meant the enjoyment is lessened as you need to be close to the window to enjoy themCSI_Yorkshire said:A valuation of £360k isn't going to make them think very kindly of your £320k offer.
And makes the "no more than £200k" earlier in the thread seem a little silly.

I don't think anything that you've discovered throughout this thread is really suggesting that it is the right place for you.Grizebeck said:

Looking at sold prices through the years in Esh and given the views etc I don't think it's widely over priced but it hasn't had any movement since Feb.Grizebeck said:This property has been on the market since Sept
Reduced in February
9 viewings, no offers.
Anything jump out at people ?
Is it seriously over priced still?

It might be worth a cheeky 10% under offer of £360k and see what reaction you get.
I quite like it but Kitchen and most wet rooms need redoing the rest is simple redecoration.
Views from the rear.
Biomass I know nothing about this or the costs of septic tank upkeep.

Money most likely. Its a nice house but put it this way I'm the first among my friends to be in a position to buy and my budget is £110k, most DH friend (who are in more 'professional' roles than my friends) who own houses paid around £100k or less. We are aged 35-45. We are local to this area too by the way.I just don't think much of our generation could come close to affording that no matter how nice the houses are.1

I think much of the 35-45 age group can afford a house more than £100k.Smalltownhypocrite said:Money most likely. Its a nice house but put it this way I'm the first among my friends to be in a position to buy and my budget is £110k, most DH friend (who are in more 'professional' roles than my friends) who own houses paid around £100k or less. Is that the house that had an original asking price of 435k, or a different one?Grizebeck said:@Gavin83 @Sarah1Mitty2
Valued at 360. Partner isn't sure thinks the rooms are to small and the sloping floors will be to much of an issue0 -

There's is a reason this is the cheapest place in the county to buy houses and yet where half the population at this age rent instead of owning. It must be mind blowing to realize 'poor' people actually exist and not everyone is privileged.
