i’ve had a. lazyish day, bit of admin, bit of knitting. I’m aiming to complete the dark pink cardigan this weekend and will probably donate it to Baby Basics. And i will knit scraps of wool into mittens for the same charity. The yellow cardigan is also near completion. Had to nip to hobbycr@ft for more of the pale pink and got a ball from the same batch. If i can get two projects finished i shall be well pleased.

Good morning all,
Managed to get 2 loads of washing dry yesterday (indoors). Am aiming for the same today. I spent the afternoon happily playing with the sewing machine and finally actually joining the material that I bought many weeks ago into the start of a pair of summer trousers. I figured that if I didn’t crack on soon, it would be winter and the material would languish for another year. The knitting is, however, languishing after it’s trip to France and back - untouched.
Today (apart from the washing), I ought to pay a visit to the allotment to see the effects of a week away, plus there is the garden that is looking soggy and out of control. I suppose that a meal plan for the week would be a good move too. We need to start emptying the kitchen as finally it is going to be gutted. That’s going to keep us busy, as the kitchen is packed (don’t open a cupboard without being prepared to catch the contents). But what I an actually going to do is to have a second cuppa, if anyone cares to join me.6 -
Afternoon all. It's quiet again on here. Wasn't as quiet outside our house an hour ago, what with thunderclaps and bouncing hailstones! The sun is out now, but more rain is possible in the next couple of hours, so I'm glad I took Rosie out for her walk as soon as I got home from church, before prepping lunch. She is curled up in the corner of my study but not asleep.
My friend who had the op on Monday said she hoped to be home by this evening. No news yet, but it's still early for the horse piddle pharmacy to have got take-home meds ready. Thanks to everyone who sent posivibes in her direction.
I have spent much of the afternoon trying to sleep off this migraine/headache, but while I was making myself a cuppa, I hoovered the kitchen floor (which was disgustingly messy after my baking stint yesterday). I'm now about to get back to compiling the newspaper quiz for the Old Wives - hoping to get it all finished this evening, as I have other things to do tomorrow during the daytime.
See you all on the new thread xxx

Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a lovely day at work. Sorry for the delay but we have been down south for MIL’s burial. Whenever relatives have had a Pure cremation, family have had a gathering either at home or village hall same day which seemed to help. £4.5K for a service at the crem even in covid seemed a waste. Eyes watered at London burial prices but not my business or choice.
Back to work tomorrow. House vacuumed. Hand washing done. Mr T delivered.
I returned home with a large insect bite and local chemists are out of bite cream. I’m hoping it stopped spreading by morning.Hope everyone has had a good weekend x7 -
