Thanks for the thread Valli
I am going to try this week, am feeling brighter today and have done a day of the stuff albeit from home. DD is cooking dinner, not quite sure what but we had a long shopping list this week and all she wants to eat is protein this, and protein that, its likely to be high protein and low carb. I will attempt the kitchen after dinner.
If you can trap the cat piggers always worth a try to take to a rescue, any intact cat is going to cause a further problem. Hope Iona's friends op went well.
Have now secured the apartments for 2024 holiday so will need to save hard for that so will do some pushing pennies around tomorrow.
Back laterMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!8 -
Jazee said:We have family going to the show too Piggers.Kaz, I have had him since last Wednesday. We have cleaned the oil off him and he was starving and painfully thin. He is easily pushed off his food so we think he has just been starving because there are apparently about 10 strays all being fed nothing but raw chicken once a day in a garage.. There are a couple of huge tabby's bullying everyone else. xxDD2 is now not coming until Thursday so I have a bit longer to get the middle room sorted.
Pixie is poorly.. she has a high temp and fell asleep when she got in from school.

Oooh a bit of Rod Stewart sounds good, enjoy Piggers you deserve it.
What a day at the paid stuff. Had to have words with a junior employee who has made a costly silly mistake and she got upset then I felt sorry for her, then cross with myself because I should have been a bit firmer. Had to remind myself that no-one finds this stuff easy and I am only human.
Working from my own lists, did a bit of hoovering and made up DS2s bed, it will be a while before anyone sleeps in it now. Did a chicken pasta dish for tea that was a bit underwhelming. Kitchen is clean and tidy, will go and make my lunch for tomorrow in a bit.

Hi ladies - I made a real effort today so want to jump back on the wagon if that's ok? Kitchen is a WIP, but my dining room is clear, clean and smells of apples, rather than festering football socks and mouldy kit bags!
Been very chaotic for me for some time now - done some silly stuff, made expensive mistakes, been put on HRT, got a part-time job and much more, but I have decided to start to minimise my "stuff" and clearout/sell/donate all my unnecessary items. This is a long term project, mixed with decorating aims and gardening attempts but I need to clear my clutter to calm my brain.

I am more than happy with that and bed is beckoning as I will probably need to go into the office tomorrow.

Check if you have any non-barcoded stamps and return them to be swapped - Yes must get them sorted
Check smoke alarms are all fully operational
Piggers, I feel so sorry for the cats, I wish we could have one here but rescues wont allow us because we're on a main road so I support 2 rescues. one for moggies, and one for posh cats.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!6 -
[Waving madly to Dizzy] Welcome home!
I managed 3 minutes on the rowing machine today - very proud of myself!
We had macaroni cheese + salad for tea, which was nice and easy. I was lucky with the weather: I stopped at MrAl's on the way home and when I came out of the store there had been a downpour, leaving the car park all puddly. Back home, just a 2 mile drive, and it was still dry - just! The first drops fell as I unpegged the last bit of washing. I have ironed 7 pillowcases, FUPA some things and hung up the rest to finish airing.
K took away 3 unwanted bath towels which used to belong to my mother and some tinned food, so I have a bit more space in the landing and kitchen cupboards. I also took DH's crutches back to the horse piddle, 2 years after his hip replacement - they had been hiding in a corner behind his wardrobe; he had no idea that they were there. [Fer-ling!]
Hope you'll feel better soon, Valli x
Enjoy the concert, pigpen x
Thanks for all good wishes for my friend. I haven't heard anything from her yet, but she will be in ICU overnight and her family won't bother to let me know how she is, so I shall have to wait until she is able to text me.8 -
