Morning all
Happy belated birthday Dancemum.
Shall be home most of today so tidying, flying and ironing are on the cards. i wore the jumper i knitted yesterday. it’s too big so i am in the process of reknitting it so must resist temptation to sit and knit.
I suspect i may be looking after mum, too, in which case she’ll have to come with me to a funeral. She won’t be happy. Dad will have to bring her here if my parcel hasn’t arrivedDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning to all, and especially to the confused m-i-l-to-be xx
Nearly cleared the admin pile before breakfast, S&S'd kitchen and bathroom, showered and dressed, made my bed, hung out WMx1 (I managed to get the stubborn stains out of DH's shirt), had my hair cut, and am now almost ready for a day out with DH and Rosie. DH has booked the tramper at a NT property about 1.5 hours' drive away for 12.00, so we'd better get a move on!
Catch up later... xxx6 -

I've had a read a book afternoon- and the book has been finished and added to the bag for cs.
My head's a shed. You'll think I'm daft but I really don't like DS and GF ( should that be F(iancee) now 🤔 ) being on a different continent. I'm turning into my Gran.....she always liked loved ones to be at home where they belonged!
I'll be going over to water the flowerbed and put out their bins later. And again tomorrow to take in the bins. Apart from that I have no plans. Too much time to think. Plenty that I could be getting on with...perhaps a list will help me to focus 🤔

In total 6x WM, 2x DW, S&S'd in the WC, S&S'd the kitchen.. twice.. hung out 4 loads of washing.. last 2 are finishing shortly.Went to watch grandpink at the school concert.. mine were poorly so didn't go. We surprised GP with DD2... from right across the hall I was making these biiiiig gestures of 'look who is here'.. GP looked confused for a moment then jumped up and down with the biggest grin ever.. She ADORES DD2..I'm sure I have something to do tomorrow.. I just can't remember what!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
it’s been a day…a very cross mother was deposited here to be ‘sat with’ while dad went golfing. She was cross, i think, because of being looked after as she deems it unnecessary and she wanted to be at home
HHI done. Headache now gone. oh and dad let her drive ‘because i was sat next to her supervising’. She is not supposed to be driving but won’t accept this. Doctors tomorrow. that won’t be pleasant either.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli.. sounds more like Pa did the 'anything for a peaceful life' .. He has to be made to realise that should she have an accident, however minor, the insurance will not cover her and she is in fact driving without insurance or a licence and that is breaking the law.. if he is anything like my elderly relatives the law and the doctors word are sacred. It is incredibly hard to watch vibrant relatives fade as they get older. (((hugs)))
Which reminds me.. I had a message from my ex-sister saying if I wanted to see my nanna (94) before she dies I should go soon.. but in true capricorn style.. she told me I was no longer welcome in her home so I will not go unless she specifically invites me.. she however, thinks DD1 is me so she won't do that and I make stubborn mules look placid. So that's my next palaver to deal with.. or not.. I was told I can't go to her funeral too.. that was 2005.. 18 years.. yeah.. I am that stubborn.. pmsl..
DD2 is delighted to have clean oil in my fryer so she can have chips.. (no gluten contamination)
Chicken thighs out for dinner tomorrow.
Dot had a raging temp now.. just as Pixie is a little better.. next week Dot is at her new secondary school.. I have been made aware that the cleaners ahve been told to emoty all their stuff out of a room because they need it for an SEN pupil starting in September.. there are only 12 starting.. Apparently they accepted this child who has higher need than they usually accept because they want the additional funding.. If I find out they are clearing a broom cupboard for my daughter I will be very much displeased.. It is likely it is her because the other mainstream we applied for said no and these said yes so she was very borderline for a special school.. Lord help them if they try keeing her in a cupboard! Looks like only Twinkle will be at school tomorrow.. maybe Pixie at a push.. Squeak is off for strikes and Dot is not well. she has laid on the sofa for 2 days.. this is really unwell.
The WC and kitchen are still presentable. The back room is presentable. The front room is a shambles and I barely got anything sorted in the middle room before DD2 and GF arrived and they are apparently bringing another mountain of stuff on Sunday.
It is looking very like the outlaws will be outlaws once this saga over MIL is sorted.. Honestly.. unless you hate your family and children do not have a direct cremation.. it is cruel and leaves everyone with no closure and it is horrible. I hate funerals, I don't go, but this is utterly awful.. there is no grieving, no closure, it is like they have gone out for the day and you're waiting for them to come back.. it is selfish and having a devastating impact on the family. I have never known anyone have one before and I hope I never do again.
Pack ups done and the last 2 lots of laundry did not get hung out.
Mogs all fed.. I need to flea them tomorrow..

Morning lovelies
The last ten days have been a blur, but I am firmly in albeit it working all weekend as well so juggling is the priority!!I’ve been up since 4.40, and so far:
- animals fed
- DW unloaded, filter cleaned out and now on empty hot wash
- Puppy’s bedding in the wash and antibacterial wiped his cage out
- load of washing brought in and folded
- random stuff tidied off the side
- now having a cuppa and a very very fresh egg on toast (had just been laid as I was out in the shed 😊😊)
Working 9-3 today. It’s DDs Year 6 leavers service at the Cathedral, where has that time gone!! Thankfully I got a load of pre loved uniform for her yesterday so only need to buy ties, hurrah!! In fact I’ll do that when I’ve typed this out, might as well get them ordered.I hope you all have fab days xx7 -
oh yes Piggers…we’ve gone through all that re the insurance. And i was livid because he was off out for the day but left her in a state with me. She was upstairs with me at one point (can’t remember why) but as we were coming back down, she was in front, she threatened to throw herself down the stairs and wondered, aloud, what it would be like. she regularly makes melodramatic threats to commit suicide (or murder herself as she often puts it) over some minor problem, like struggling to use her phone. But, of course, she wouldn’t have written a note so no doubt i would have been in the frame for shoving her.
Anyway, hopefully the doctor will confirm she can’t drive today. It’s very sad to see this decline but also the fury is sad…she’s threatened me as well as self harm.
Anyway hope you all have a lovely day. Soon be the weekend.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
