I feel your pain Left I weighted in with a small 1/2lb loss this week which is annoying as it was looking better at the weekend when I popped on the scales and I thought i had continued to be good.  At least it is a loss I haven't looked a a pack of butter to try and make myself feel happier about it which it did briefly until I looked a the size of me in comparison and it's such a small percentage :#

Good news re the hip Sue and definitely a incentive to try and lose a little more weight before hand especially when recovering

Hi I hope it is ok for me to join you

mentally and physically struggling atm but I need to lose some weight. I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself or I rebel against ‘rules I set’ so for now I’ll take each day as it comes trying the best I can in hope I trend downwards on the scales by young fruit and veg and cutting worst of junk and making lower calorie choices

lunch was omelette with mushroom and peppers
with 3 tablespoons of yoogurt(rather than just eating from big tub till I’ve had enough) and 2 tiny easy peelers

fir tea I’ve pulled pork and as much salad I can manage and either a 100 cal sandwich thin or a small jacket….I’m having little portion of coleslaw that left but I’ll not add cheese to jacket if I have that.

im allowing myself 200 calories for evening munchies rather than unchecked opening of big bar of chocolate or packet of biscuits. Plus either sugar free coke or tiny bit of flavoured gin and diet lemonade….on the condition I drink enough weak squash between now and 7…..see how I have to bargain with myself 🥲

I appear to be back where I started so I think that means I've lost the 2 I gained.  Maybe I'll make progress over the next 6 weeks.....

  • Half off for me please Brambling, (was actually 3/4).

I've come to the understanding that I will have to accept the IBS is not going to go away and I will have good and bad weeks.  The scales are doing the jumping trick, they have bounced up and down by as much as 5lb, weighed yesterday and I was 2 3/4 lb down, my bloating is slowly going away.

    Have a good week everyone.

Sorry IBS is flaring at the moment Jenny have you seen a dietitian or is that expecting too much of the NHS at the moment? Is a food diary worth keeping to see what triggers it although from what i understand at times that can be most things  <3

  • Thanks Brambling, it's a combination of fibromyalgia, anxiety and a couple of other things, bread and baked beans are things I try to avoid.  I'm just glad I've still got a couple of pairs of my trousers that are a couple of sizes too big which don't cut in when I'm bloated.

I eat very little !!!!!! so not much I can cut out, gin is ok though  :D
