Apologies if I should use another thread for this. But in the meantime, DCBLegal have sent me a "Letter of Claim" about a PCN from Feb 2022! On behalf of ParkingEye.

Had a look on the Newbie thread and submitted the SAR form on their privacy page. But it also gives me ParkingEye's litigation team email and tells me to use as a last ditch appeal attempt. Could someone please clarify how I go about this and what things I can and cannot say?

Yes you should start another thread about this ParkingEye incident.

Matters will soon become too confusing to progress both issues in the one thread.
So start a new thread and delete your above post from this thread to keep things simple and straightforward.

I don't think you can do that as they have farmed it out to DCB Legal.  You can only do a last gasp email to PEye's legal team, if they (themselves) issued the LBC but they didn't.

But I would do these 3 things:

(a). WAIT till the very last day the LBC says for responding, and then email DCB Legal telling them you are seeking Debt Advice and to put the case on hold for a further 30 days;

(b). Complain to the landowner immediately.  INSIST they step in and cancel it;

(c).  Read the DLUHC's Draft Impact Assessment when they publish it this month and apply anything useful the Government says to this case too, including some hopefully damning quotes as leverage for your landowner complaint, if you meet resistance or apathy.

Evening all, just wanted to do a quick check in relation to any news from DLUHC? I have scanned the internet and haven't seen anything yet.

Going back to the 2 main parking charges this forum is about, we are getting closer to the deadline for me to submit my defences (cut off for me is 25th July).

Don't want to leave it for last minute since it's currently a very busy time for me and knowing my luck, I'll miss the deadline! 

Happy to wait it out a couple more days before my submitting my defence if you feel it's worthwhile?

Nothing yet but it is imminently anticipated.  I'd wait till the weekend to finalise it and email it on Monday or Tuesday morning.

The following 'sticky' thread will be used to make the first announcement of its publication and in order for it to remain near the top of the forum (set up a 'notification' in your Personal Profile to ensure you get an email when comments are added). 

In addition I'm sure there will be another specific thread about it, but as that won't be a 'sticky' it will be prone to moves up and down the forum depending on the movement of other general threads, with the possibility of disappearing off the first page. But, I'm sure there will be plenty enough comment to keep the thread 'hot' for a few weeks.

The DLUHC will update this because the 'withdrawn' flag will surely be removed even if the IA blurb is on a fresh webpage:

But because I'm on the Government's Parking CoP Steering Group, I expect I'll be told when it's happening.

I do have my finger on the pulse, hence why I can confidently say that I anticipate it is imminent and urge you all to wait... and you will CERTAINLY see us talking about it immediately.

Hi all,

I had a snoop around and seems no news still. Shall I cut my losses and submit? I'm going to be flat out at work tomorrow and the last thing I want to do is forget to submit it (this time of year I'm doing quite long hours).
