So they sent me an email to settle. I replied back with the usual suggestion for them to discontinue etc. They replied back to the same email and informed me of their discontinuation and attached the N279.

So that’s both charges of this thread discontinued!

    Again: congrats!

Could you show the n279 as a screenshot please, so that this is evidenced for our records?

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

What a complete WASTE of Judges' time DCB Legal are looking to be, on this evidence we continue to gather.  I hope the CJC and MoJ wake up to this model and ban or price roboclaim firms out of parking small claims.

    Hi @Coupon-mad

Please find below. I redacted some personal information on the top right, hope that this is suitable.

And thank you so much for all your help, you have all been incredible. Just one more to go now on another thread with ParkingEye/DCBLegal, but still stuck on Defence received stage for months.

My main takeaway is that it's definitely worth emailing back to tell DCB to discontinue and save the hearing fee. It doesn't always work (and didn't work out on the first claim when I sent them an email), but it worked on the second claim against me.

It takes 2 minutes to write, and could save you time instead of going through Witness Statement phase - in my experience at least!

    Nicely done.

Another case for @Umkomaas to add to the disco thread.

  • Hi all!

Not sure if I have put this comment in the right place but happy for any help.

Today I received 2 “notice of debt recovery” letters for 2 seperate parking charges at the same location in December 2019!

This was actually resolved early 2020 by me providing the parking payment confirmation to CP Plus. However, this can no longer be found and Nexus are refusing to speak to me about it.

How can I go about this?

    Thank you

Send them a SAR asking for all data held re ALL PCNs WHERE THEY STILL RETAIN DATA, including appeals received and including the exchange of information in late 2019/early 2020 whereby proof of parking payments was provided.

Sorry what do you mean a ‘SAR’? Also, CP are non contactable and DCBL are saying they cannot get involved unless it’s payment. Finally, I don’t have the evidence proving that I paid the charges as it was 5 years ago, and CP told me that it was cleared verbally in 2020.

SAR = Subject Access Request - as described in the fifth post on the NEWBIES thread.

    Really? You are mistaken.

As you know CP Plus Limited are part of Group Nexus and the email of that group's Data Protection Officer can be found on their website - on their Privacy Policy page.
But that point has already been made on this thread - on 29 June 2023 at 5:37PM.

Can I suggest that if you want further help with your issue, you start a new thread?
