Heathrow parking

I went with Park Xpert Meet and Greet in the end. Blue Circle tried to jack up the price at the last stage of booking, so I ruled them out.

If I had a newer/better car I'd pay more, but 5 weeks parking for £170 seems quite good, especially as it's meet and greet.

Not Heathrow but a word of caution at Gatwick. I booked the long stay summer special parking months ago at Gatwick. In the past I’d booked it no problem. For some reason I mustn’t have fully read the info and the summer parking now means you hand over your keys (in the past it was just a cheap rate long stay). I’m normally good at spotting these things and I swear it wasn’t obvious when I booked that you didn’t park yourself but I’m willing to accept I overlooked it.

Anyway, despite being the official car park I wasn’t overly thrilled. When you return they give you your keys then you have to trudge across the car park to where they parked your car for you (in my case nowhere near the bus stop!) For some reason someone had been in the passenger seat of my car (both headrests had been moved up) and the drivers seat had been moved - understandable as they were probably taller than me. However, the preset car seat positions had been changed too! Only a small gripe but it annoyed me considering it cost far more than Heathrow!

Why not just use somewhere that you can take your keys

Because then you have to make your way to the airport afterwards.

Some have a shuttle bus, but they cost a fair bit more.
