Did this month's big shop on tuesday. Spent £62.63, I also need to add in the bread and milk DD picked up last week, another £4.19. Comes to £66.82. Total for the year now stands at £1218.16/£1860. This leaves £641.84 for the rest of the year. We'll need bread milk and maybe fruit, but possibly nothing else until August. Have lots of visitors arriving over the next few weeks, will need to feed them too. Hugs to all, muntoomany. XxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.7

398/600 16 days to go. Had a few days in hospital as hubby went to see diabetic nurse for the first time and she sent hubby to hospital so had fish and chips and hospital parking etc. We had to wait 4 weeks for an appointment for blood results with doctors and originally thought there cant be anything wrong or else they would have seen us sooner How wrong were we.21k savings no debt8

Hi all, I hope Mr obt666, is on the mend soon.
Went into town as OH had bought a radio, which worked well for a whole hour!!! Had to return it, so called into the veg shop. Spent £8.25. Three lots of chocolate biscuits, requested by OH, and the cheapest place at £1 per pack, between 15 and 20 in each. Box of 28 apples, box with 7 bananas and 13 peaches, punnet of 9 nectarines, punnet of 12 satsumas, punnets of grapes, and 10 pounds of plums. Total £8.25. Can't complain at that. Only just over nine pounds of the plums were usable, chickens had the rest. Much jam making to be done, I think, hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.9 -

Don't like aniseed, I'm afraid. Not got enough sugar to make plum jam. I've made four jars of (HG), blackcurrant jam, might have been more if DGD1 had not been helping! She can eat her own body weight in fruit! The plums have been stewed, and all the stones pulled out. I may have to freeze them until i get more sugar. Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.6
