Another £6.17 spent today, not on very much, though I did get 2 packs of YS crumpets for 18p each so happy with that, we’ll eat one pack this week and the other has gone in the freezer.

I think my husband still has some spends to be reimbursed from the groceries pot however as it’s stands we are just over the £200 spent mark of £420 (I think!). The £20 was essentially used to cover off a spend from last month for a veg box I didn’t cancel intime. It was so close to my change over date, I repaid the pot from somewhere else hence recovering it this month.
I keep thinking that we’re actually doing okay this month given that we are usually down to the last £100 by now easily but the stock up in the past was done at the start of the month so maybe it’s all relative.Regardless I’ve been to the shops 10 times now since we got paid. That’s just not okay. I have to find a balance and make a list rather than winging it and forgetting stuff then having to go back! For example I went yesterday and forgot frozen fruit and something else which I’ve already forgotten again!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I keep a list on my phone so that I don't forget anything. I always used to write a list and more often than not I'd end up leaving at home. As I always take my phone I don't forget my list any more and just add to it whenever I think of anything - might be worth trying for you?

I do do that @joedenise however I have to remember to write it in my phone when I think of it as else I’ll forget what it was as well as forgetting the list 🤣Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Sorry, I've been missing-in-action this month! July is always particularly hectic, with 3 birthdays in the household and a major event for me to work towards mid-month. So I haven't posted a budget to stick to, although it looks as if I would have been within "normal" bounds so far, with two birthdays down & one to go. DS3 returns for the summer, possibly longer, in a week or so, which means next month will be more expensive, with 5 adults here FT and one more PT, plus visiting family at weekends. But the allotment produce is beginning to stream in now, and there's lots of preserving & fermenting going on, which all helps to cut costs in the longer term; I should be back on track next month!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7

£34.00 spent at Aldi this week. I made 10 large gf sausage rolls and 6 gf pain au chocolate this afternoon. It is definately cheaper to buy gf pastry and wheat fee sausage meat than buying sausage rolls ready made. Very little effort and a few pounds saved. First tomatoes from garden picked this afternoon.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

A few shops since I last posted - have been to Sainsbury, Morrisons and The Food Warehouse. Current spend is £70.95/£250 so £179.05 left for rest of the month. It certainly seems to have helped with using the Bulk Fund to top of the freezer and pantry at the beginning of the month. Have used less than 1/3 of budget and half way through the month - long may it continue this way.
