Cashing out July on €692.40, and I didn't even get to the c&c so should be out of €600.
Onwards and upwards, right?5 -
Sheesh. I totally forgot that I stopped by Savers and M & S yesterday after an appointment.
£10.22 spent at Savers for cold supplies (tissues, cough drops, etc) since Mr. Jings has finally caught my lurgy.
£7.14 spent at M & S on potatoes, parsley and more butter for the Cullen skink, along with 2 packs of YS chicken drumsticks that were 50% off.
£382.35/£250.00 spent. £132.35 over budget
Bloody hell. Hands firmly in pockets this weekend. And some meal planning to be done as well.5 -
I am a bust for July as I have been doing the Morrisons summer offer of 4x£80 shops out of 6 weeks. Although it doesn't finish until part way through August - some of the store-cupboard offers finish on 1st so I did 3 shops this month. It's a good job mine is an annual budget, not a monthly but I have spent nearly £400 in total so not all down to that. My store-cupboard is very full and i have just ordered nuts and seeds from a wholesaler. I'm pushing some actual spend forward by using my credit card, so that it smoothes the spend a bit. I should have spent 58.33% and have actually spent 60.99% for the year to date.
Hopefully more produce from the garden in August, and back to a TGTG bag if there are any.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

£20.00 spent at Aldi today on bread, icelollies, mushrooms, hash browns tomatoes and eggs for big family fry up. Hopefully all 12 were happily fed. My DS did all of the cooking so that was lovely. Then DS, DD, their partners and children headed off to the beach and I was left alone for 4 hours whilst DH went to play bowls. Sheer bliss. Soooo quiet. All getting together for a carnival tonight then DD, and 3 GSs will be back here to sleep. Declaring at £440.61 /£450craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Declaring for July at 124.92/£250! The freezers have taken a battering this month but means I have £125.08 available to move to other pots. Obviously I am really pleased with this.
Next month won't be as good as needing to stock up quite a lot in the freezer but most of that will come from my Bulk Fund - there's over £100 in there at the moment. Definitely going to need some joints as absolutely none left - the 1/2 leg of lamb which was the last joint in there is now in the fridge for tomorrows dinner.

Declaring at £35.69 over. Spent over £9 on sugar free muesli base and nuts earlier, but it should see me a long time at least.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining

Declutter 7 things (net) in 2025. Done, now trying to keep it even (5 over at present).5 -
Finishing July without any idea of what we've spent on groceries. We've had a week away and a long weekend away so technically 10 days of not using food from home and I probably should have adjusted budgets to take account of that. Also on our weekend away we bought supplies for a family picnic so that was a supermarket spend but should have come from entertainment.
I can probably conjure up a few more excuses for my muddled July budget but instead I shall go over to August with a renewed focus and ambition.

Hope everyone has had a good week. A few small spends here, buying fruit, veg, milk, bread only as trying to keep costs low as possible. Won’t declare yet as run out of milk and fruit again so will pick some up tomorrow, might try and squeeze in the 4 for £5 at Asda when I go past tomorrow. Have actually really enjoyed using up what we have and keeping to small spends but glad it’s finally almost the start of a new month now.£335.41/400 spent.5

Top up shop on the 25th, lost the receipts! And having paid in cash can't check how much it was. Also spent £5 in the veg shop on 28th. I think the top up came to around £14 something. So I'm calling it all £20, until/if i find the receipts. Total to date spent now, £1255.18/£1860. Total left for the remainder of the year now stands at £604.82. This is around £120 per month. We've had five extra lots of visitors through July, 8 extra mouths to feed. More visitors next month and September. Then probably very few as the weather cools.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.5 -
Declaring for July: £270.04/£250 slightly over but I think I’ve dropped the ball a bit with meal planning and we’ve had a few lazy evenings of buying pizzas to cook at home rather than the dinner we were supposed to be having. Onwards and upwards for August!6
